Ever been to a Firehouse Subs? That's how you do a sub sandwich. And as expensive as they may be, I feel like I'm getting what I'm paying for. That's just not the case with Subway.

ive heard a lot of people claim that, they'll say they dont eat fast food but will eat chipotle because the meat is free range or grass fed or whatever they advertise. chipotle is big on promoting that they have a more "wholesome" image in terms of the food quality.

it's like how fruit juice is advertised as natural and healthy but then it has like 70 grams of sugar in a bottle

i sometimes went to subway but not as much anymore, last year when they had the 6$ footlong promo all they had available was a set limit of subs (they didn't even discount the good ones). ****ing went right next door to the pizza place and got something better.

Firehouse makes some awesome fucking subs. They are a little more pricey than subway, but it's totally worth it for the better quality. There's one right down the road from my mom's place. I'm stoked to raid it when I go on HRAP for 2 weeks a month from now.

It's mostly due to price. I tried getting a foot-long ham and turkey for lunch a few weeks ago and the sandwich was literally $9. I remember saying to the guy "no, I don't want the meal, just the sandwich," and he said "that is just the price of the sandwich."

Screw that. For $9, I can get an high-quality, freshly-made meal.

They're like "what do you want" and I'm like "spinach" and they just fuckin DESTROY it with spinach! Just like an avalanche of spinach! And you're like "I want like five other things!" You can't just fill it up with spinach and think that's all it's gonna be! And then you're like "onion" and they put like 2 onions on it and you're like "... MORE onion please!"

And then when you like get some weird combination like fuckin "can I get mayonnaise and also sweet onion sauce" they throw up their eyebrows a little like "uhhhhh..." and you're like "don't fuckin judge me, I'll eat what I want, I can make my own sandwich!"

I legit don't know what happened to Subway. Tjey were p dece 10 or 15 uears ago and then they just kept slipping and slipping until they have become the worst fast food place bar none.

When i was a kid subway always had a reputation for being terrible, then Jared came along and they were relevant and people realized they weren't so bad.

but instead of sticking with 5 dollar footlongs their subs hopped up to like 8 bucks almost.

Meh, I'll still go to the one near my grandparents whenever I visit. The nice couple that runs the place usually gives more toppings than the college campus Subway, and they usually sneak in an extra cookie when I only order the sandwich.

Probably because I'm the same ethnicity lol... I remember my (white) friend saying that I should order whenever we get Chinese because they always add more food if an asian is ordering.

the subway near my house had a deal where if you brought your student ID in you could get a second footlong sub for only a dollar. recently, however, they stopped that deal and now I don't go to subway anymore
