A little bit. I do stereotype people sometimes and have racial dating preferences, for example. I know stereotyping is bad, though. Regarding racial dating preferences - I'm on the fence whether they are good or not.

"implicit biases" are prejudice

and to feel prejudice is to be racist



even if you wanna argue that i'm being overly technical with the terms, people feel things subconsciously (i.e. it isn't voluntary), and whether you act on those urges or not is irrelevant (not that anybody has ever not acted on those urges ever)

if I am talking to a Mexican guy and he tells me he's planning on getting his wooden deck repaired, I'll probably automatically assume he has carpentry skills taught to him by his father and will do the job himself. if he suddenly starts talking about getting someone to give him an estimate, I'll probably be taken back a little.

if I'm Asian and I typically prefer the company of people who share my ethnic experiences, that doesn't automatically make me a racist. you can favor your connection with people who are most like you without thinking others are inferior or having contempt for them. but somebody like you will never understand that.

if you think that's "racist," that's just a result of your own racist upbringing to view everybody different from you in terms of maliciousness and ethnic superiority. stop projecting and worry about your own demons.

I admit to being racist. I'm black and I understand collectively not one single race likes black people. Whites, Asians, Arabs, Indians, and Hispanics all hate black people so to be honest I don't really give a fuck. I know they all look down on blacks, don't trust blacks, don't want blacks in their home countries, and most of them would never want their family members to marry or have kids with a black person.

So when Trump starts banning Muslims, stopping H1-Bs, and building walls up I don't give a DAMN.

Cuz not one of those groups give a flying fuck about blacks you won't catch me in the streets protesting for Mexicans and Muslims.

So my racism is just awareness of other peoples racism I don't actually dislike those groups I just understand they don't like me.
