He drew outrage after he tweeted #ADayWithoutAWoman which was a direct attack on the International Women's Day movement. Colin is a prominent and "proud" Conservative who balks at the liberal politics in the gaming industry and said he stepped down from the company so that they don't receive negative attention because of him.. He said "I'm sick of being these people's proxy and t heir meat shield and they just hang me out to dry." Colin has long been the black sheep in gaming journalism in which he describes himself as one of the lone conservative voices in a group of other journalists he calls "hyper liberal". Many of those he worked with TURNED on him after the controversy as his list of friends shrank since then. Colin was filled with tears as he told Dave Rubin "When i was out there, you were the first person that leant me your hand and you treated me, it's bringing tears to my ees, you and your husband treated me, you're my newest friend and you treated me like you were my oldest friend and people out there i've known forever just abandoned me" Colin started writing for Gamefaqs at 14 for games such as Legend of Zelda and Megan before working full time at IGN and eventually let starting Kinda Funny on Youtube.
