Squirrel is tender and sweet. It. Is really good. It has chicken like texture, but different density. Nearest comparisom i have is probably rabbit*

Monkey also taste like chicken, but harder and tasteless. It is like overcooked chicken breast. It is i guess a mix of chicken and goat.

Squirrel is better

I've had squirrel often, they put it in gumbo in Tennessee. It's a bit sweeter, very tender and reminds me of rabbit. It's kind of delicious tbh if prepared well.

It is hard to describe. You know some meat have inherent taste into it? There is just nothing i can taste except for the texture.

I guess it has chicken like textire but no taste to make it more accurate

Monkeys aren't primates. They have tails.

Yeah, i had doubt before. It's like eating my distant cousin, but fuck someone in my group already ordered it, and i was offered to take a piece. Life's short and the monkey is already dead whether i eat it or not.

Still fucking weird tho. I might draw the line at real primates. Orangutans, chimps, gorillas, etc. I hope nobody cook them too.

Wait what? I've never heard that before.

One theory is that monkeys infected with SIV were eaten by humans, which mutated to HIV in humans.

http://www.theaidsinstitute.org/node/259

Scientists identified a type of chimpanzee in West Africa as the source of HIV infection in humans. They believe that the chimpanzee version of the immunodeficiency virus (called simian immunodeficiency virus or SIV) most likely was transmitted to humans and mutated into HIV when humans hunted these chimpanzees for meat and came into contact with their infected blood. Over decades, the virus slowly spread across Africa and later into other parts of the world.
