for the love of god, don't open it

It's tempting. Very tempting.

I'm gonna open it though and play it. I'll keep the box and everything in good condition so if I ever want to I'll still make some money off it.

you and i both know this thing is going to be selling for hundreds upon hundreds of dollars very soon since it's discontinued, and keeping it in the box will help it retain value.

and honestly it's just playing ROMs of a bunch of games that are honestly pretty shitty, you could just buy a controller and play these on a PC

You're definitely right, I got it for myself though rather than an intent to scalp it. Everyone who lined up this morning to get one was very nice (there were 7 classics available), but I can only confirm one other person was actually buying it for themself.

Thanks man! I used brickseek and was able to snag one. Last night when I got home I saw there were four available at a target near me, so I drove over. I spoke to the guys there and they said they had em coming in but they were in a box somewhere and wouldn't be on sale till the morning.

When I got home around I checked brickseek again and saw a bunch of targets had their stock updated and listed them as in stock, so I knew it'd be the same thing with them getting shipments in but not having them out to sell till today.

I went to the other Target near me that bs said had 7 in stock. Got there, and there were exactly 7 for sale. In short, brickseek is totally correct and if you want an NES keep checking via bs.

Glad someone was able to buy one for the actual retail price.

I finally broke down on tuesday and got 2 from eBay. Really glad I got them when I did, cheapest I've seen since the announcement is $300

Enjoy it, good timing on getting one! I got luckt cause everyone on line ahead of me was really cool, we all agreed we'd keep it one per person and if anyone tried to rush in front we're gonna make sure they got REKT.

We walked single file through the store without any employees doing a damn thing or passing out tickets to even attempt to keep it calm. We all just kept it cool together, it was a cool moment.

Type in your zip. It's accurate, down to the number of classics the store gets. After I left I checked it in my car before leaving Target and it had already changed to zero as I got the last one.

It updates in real time too. I had checked last night around 1030 and the store I got it from had zero in stock. After target closed it updated on brickseek to the 7 as they must have stocked the shelves.

I still have the box for the 1 I got for X-Mas in '86 or '87. It's in perfect shape too, but I think the packing Styrofoam is gone. I'd have to look for the Owners manual as well, but it may still be somewhere.
