I have the same feeling. Although I don't get paid hourly and get commission. Last year starting at this time IA was making $14 an hour. I don't see that happening this year. I make somewhere between 9 and 10 now and have a feeling it isn't going to pick up.

don't wanna say which company I work for, but my store has a couple years left on our lease in our mall; the company has been announcing benefits cuts, pay cuts, and continually cuttinf hours and corners everywhere they possibly can. I'd be amazed if they actually kept us open till the lease is up.
