possess almost every Collector and spout the same catchphrase each time.

Like

The first cutscene he's in we see the Collector drone struggle, then their flesh cracks, eyes glow, and then Harbinger speaks "Prepare these humans for ascension!"

Shit was creepy

Harbinger probably would've been better and less of a joke/meme if the devs were more select and careful in how they used him.

it was the fact that he spoke every time rather than just doing it that was bad

Agreed.

Harbinger should have first been seen on Horizon. You'd have a little cryptic talk with him, then he'd sick the Preatorian on you.

Then you'd fight him as a boss in the Collector Cruiser, killing him but after you kill him you'd see him just immediately take over another Collector, leading to you having to escape the cruiser.

Finally you'd take him on one more time on the Collector Base before you'd go to fight the Reaper Larva
