Eh, yes and no. Instead of organizing their forums by topic, they organize by opinion. There's just straight up a Donald Trump Supporters forum, instead of pushing all that traffic into a politics forum.

Being surrounded by people who agree with your stupid opinions tends to cause a lot of circlejerking and stupid shitposting.

It probably depends on the subreddit. I only browse front page and top comments, so I only see generally good posts.

Yeah, this is true as well.

Although, throwing every opinion into the same topic would probably cause way too much bickering among each other, especially with politics. Which would also be no fun.
