digiiiiiiiii 04/10/17 2:49:43 PM #1:	so i have a 970, but an aging CPU and accordingly, an aging motherboard and aging RAM i've been thinking about upgrading motherboard, ram, CPU, etc. it's a big expense. i've also been thinking about a 1080TI because I have a 4K TV. So that's like a $1300 upgrade at the cheapest but my brother is willing to buy my current PC for $700ish and a NEW build with a 1080TI, i7, 16GB of ram, etc etc ... is in the $1600 range should i sell my PC and upgrade to a 4K/60FPS experience for like $900 --- http://i.imgur.com/9mRLVL2.gifv <cite>digiiiiiiiii posted [p:876921989] in pc upgrade... Difference is I don't have a 4K TV so I'm faced with the crisis of feeling silly for buying anything but a 1080ti for future proofing vs. the fact that a 1080ti is disgusting overkill for 1080p. By the time 4k gaming is standardised and optimised there'll be better shit on the market for me so it's a win win for me. All depends on how quickly you want to upgrade and how much you have to spend. --- I'm bad at Maffs.
