That's what I always do, since there is no way I can afford $60 + games along with the $40-$50 + DLC.

The DLC alone is more than the price of the game usually, several bundles come at $19.99, and others at $44.99. It's a mockery.

Do you mind buying used?

I have a GameStop card and you get %10 off..if you use a code online you can get an extra %16. Makes a $45 used game $36 with tax. Really great.

i notice that games price drop much faster now days, which makes it an even smarter decision.

the only game i can think of that doesnt is GTAV, even then it gets random sales on steam.

I generally buy used because I have a huge backlog of games I want to pick up. I buy new when I absolutely want to play it right away, and that happens once a year at most.

Depends on the game. Most AAA games yes, but if you buy Nintendo games you'll be waiting a long time for the drop.

I noticed AAA titles drop a lot slower.

And I usually buy New because some of the games I play are niche and I'm worried I won't be able to find them later at a cheap price.

I like to run behind on games.

Like I just started up Halo 5 and got it for super cheap.

I rarely buy new or preorder. Waste of money.

Good point.

Actually, do they ever drop in price, save for individual retailers having sales and stuff?

Nope, I actually prefer them and always ask if they do have a used version.

Yep, me too, I'm a member, and I never buy anything without the card to get the discount.

Games seem to drop 30$ in price within 3-6 months. Which annoys, confuses and is fine by me all at the same time.

Sure I like buying cheaper and can usually wait a few months for it. It just feels really stupid on their part especially with all the developers complaints about the cost of developing. More to the point developing costs and revenue issues bring shitty practices like on disc DLC or rushing the release of unfinished games to survive or come out positive. Feels like ass backwards logic to do that then lower the price of your game by half after 3 months and complain that the game is not generating enough of the expected revenue

I get the feeling it's about impatient shareholders or somfin. Whatever, at least we get games cheaper. Wish Ninty lowered their prices past a year or so tho
