Wait how the hell does a feud survive 1000 years? How does a guy find a woman to agree to have children with him and raise their kids with the sole express purpose of hating and hunting gargoyles. Like no kid in a thousand years said fuck that? Still feel bad for Macbeth who was as honorable as can be and got screwed time and time again. For a lot of my favorite childhood shows, I never got to see the endings of them, eg reboot, darkwing duck, beast wars, tiny toons... Sure I was hoping for Xanatos to do more for what is ultimately the final episode of the show, but coming just in the nick of time with a helicopter to save the gargoyles was enough. As a sidenote I totally got Superman the animated series finale vibes, it's almost exactly how it ends. They really pulled out all the stops for this finale, the animation is great, which only makes it that much more difficult when you try to watch the goliath chronicles.
