I want a Switch. I also have a Best Buy credit card. But Best Buy in my area somehow oversold and won't be getting any for several weeks. There are reports of other retailers getting more in this week. Could I buy a Switch from a different retailer, then later buy another switch from Best Buy and return that unopened one to the first retailer, provided I still have the receipt?

that depends wholly on the length of the unopened return policy and whether or not they log serial numbers with game consoles.

I know that Walmart basically never check returns. They give zero f***s. I have known people to buy a PS3 or PS4 controller because theirs broke. Then return the broken one to Walmart.

If it's wal-mart then yeah probably, their return policies are very lenient

Also yeah they don't give a f***, I tried to when I worked the service desk but then my managers didn't so I stopped caring as well

i thought i heard walmart auto logs serial numbers now? like scanning the barcode will show that it wasn't sold there. but maybe i'm wrong (and even if i'm not they can override it if they just want to hurry up with you, which is always possible with walmart)
