"No, it's part of how Empathic Healing works," she says as she stretches her back. "I take on a bit of the pain myself as part of the process."

"That seems a bit double-edged," you say with concern.

"It's alright," she says as she sits back and crosses her legs. "I can accelerate my own healing with meditation."

She sits up straight, hands at her side while index fingers and thumbs make circles as the standard meditation pose. She takes as deep of a breath as she can with the back pain bothering her, and exhales as she closes her eyes. She sits there quietly breathing for a minute, then soon she starts floating.

That's when you realize you didn't really ask how long this meditative healing would take... Well, you'll keep yourself busy with

You go to your knapsack and rummage around in your art supplies. You pull out your larger sketch pad, a pencil, some chalk and some charcoal pencils. You then sit in the chair at the desk and face Raven as she floats over the bed. You use a magical barrier as an easel and have your sketch pad propped up so that you can draw her likeness.

You follow fundamentals and draw the framework of circles and lines. You swallow down your awkwardness--and dumb boyish excitement--as you sketch out her full figure. You make sure to keep proportions with the use of thumb and pencil.

You sigh, as you're faced with the obstacles of eyes and hands very early. You feel fortunate she has her eyes closed, easier to do eye lids than irises.

With things sketched out, you then move to charcoal and finalize the outlines and fill in her black leotard, staying soft in some spots for the communication of lighting but then going extra hard for shadow. You also softly fill in the bare body parts to give the impression of her pale gray skin, and find a moderate level to give the shadow effect on her face and legs. You go pure black for her eyebrows, eye lashes and chakra gemstone.

Shading her cloak and hair is tricky, you have to find the right levels of darkness to create what blue and purple look like in grayscale. You feel like you should've just done color but it's too late now.

You decide to take some artistic liberties and add her magical aura to the picture. You fill the fiery-wavy shapes, then outline them with the white chalk so that they stand out against all the other dark shades.

You pull your scarf down and blow away the unneeded charcoal and chalk dust, leaving only what grafted to the paper.

Raven floats back down to the bed, and fully settles back in before opening her eyes.

"Are you feeling better?" you ask.

"Yes," she smiles. "What're you doing with that?"

"Oh I, I hope you don't mind," you say as you turn the magical easel around. "I decided to draw you while you meditated."

Raven sits at the edge of the bed to look closely at it.

"Wow, that's... That's really good actually."

"I'm not an Empath, but I sense some unease," you say. "Should I have asked permission?"

"No, it's fine that you did this," she says. "It's actually rather sweet. It's just... Since it's in black and white, it-- It kind of reminds me of something. Something Malchior did as part of his seducing me into helping him."

"I knew I should've gone with color."

"It's fine, really," she says as she walks over. "That was years ago. I like yours better."

"Well, thank you," you say.

"Though," Raven smirks, "I will say that because he was a book, his was crisply printed."

You smirk back at her before putting your art supplies away. She admires the picture of herself a moment before heading for the door.

"Raven," you say as you take the book from the easel. "You can have this if you want."

"Really?" she asks.

You carefully tear away the page and hand it to her.

"Thanks," she says with a bright smile. "I'm gonna, gonna put this away in my room."

Raven beams all the way to the door, glancing back at you with a giddy smile every few steps. She exits your room and heads down the hall.

"Oh hey Raven," Robin says. "I was just coming by to get everyone's vote for dinner. The rest of us are thinking we order Chinese take-out since we also didn't get much for lunch."

"Yeah, sounds good," she says.

"What do you have there?" he asks.

"Oh, um. Rorek drew a picture of me while I was meditating."

"Oh wow that's pretty good," he says.

"Yeah. I'll just be in my room a moment to put this away. Oh, that reminds me!"

Raven returns to your door.

"My snake, and the other shirt," she says.

"Oh, right," you say as you go to your knapsack again.

You pull out the "Where the Stars End" t-shirt and the long red-and-pink stuffed animal. Raven wraps herself in the snake again while carrying the shirt in one hand. She then walks out again, still beaming like before.

"Whoa," Robin says as he trades places with her at your door. "Two shirts and a stuffed animal?"

"We stopped in Santa Cruz and Los Angeles," you say. "I won the snake and bought the shirts."

"Nice," he smiles. "Which brings me to something I've been meaning to talk to you and Raven about."

"Don't worry, Cyborg and Beast Boy talked to me about my... involvement, with Raven. I am very serious about my intentions, I'm not some playboy or someone who would use her. I also assured Raven that I'm very serious, and she seems very accepting."

"That's good to know," Robin says. "I'm actually really glad, especially for her. She's... had a rather rough life."

"I'd imagine, she mentioned training in magic and martial arts as a child," you say, "then there's the whole 'manipulted by a dragon' thing."

"Oh, not just that," Robin says. "Did she not tell you?"

"Tell me what?"

"Oh. I just thought with all the time you two've spent together... I should've waited to talk to her about this first. Just... Just forget I was talking with you about this."

Robin hurries off, you mean to call after him from the doorway but he's already around the corner. You then spot Raven coming out of her room, and from the look on her face she didn't hear anything that you or Robin said.

You won't ruin her good mood with asking about it, at least not before dinner. For now, you walk over and join her as she heads to Ops.

You two enter the room and see Robin is on the phone while the others are on the couch watching television. Raven heads over while you and Robin make eye contact. You break eye contact first and follow Raven to the couch.

You and Raven sit down near the end, and you settle into the leather cushions. Raven's fingers and feet fidget, and then she suddenly scoots closer, legs folded up onto the couch. You look over at her and she looks back at you, and she flashes you a nervous yet also giddy smile. She returns to looking at the television, so you do, too.

"So what're we watching?" you ask.

"Anything but wrestling," Beast Boy says. "I didn't like being stuck as the referee when I am clearly wrestler material."

"Not when you wouldn't be allowed to transform into animals," Cyborg says.

"I can be just as tough as any of the animals I turn into," Beast Boy says.

"You mean like a lion?" Raven says. "Or shark. Or T-rex. Basically the hundreds of carnivores that eat meat when you don't."

"Vegans can be tough!" Beast Boy defends. "Oh, that reminds me. Robin, you got an order of regular white rice, right?"

Robin gives a thumbs up. Beast Boy nods, relieved he'll be able to have non-chicken-fried rice.

"Let's go with this automotive show," Cyborg says.

"Ohhh," you say.

"No way, this one about stopping jerk poachers is better," Beast Boy says as he takes the remote and changes channels.

"Ohhh," you say again.

"I would much rather prefer this animated musical film about animals personified as if they were part humanoid," Starfire says as she takes the remote and changes channels.

"Oh how cute," you say.

"No, that's for kids," Cyborg says as he takes the remote back.

"Actually I'm okay with Starfire's choice," Beast Boy mutters.

"We should let Rorek choose," Raven says. "He is our guest."

"Oh, don't worry about me," you say. "I'm fine with most things."

"Well what about one of your favorites?" Raven says. "Like James Bond or Alfred Hitchcock?"

"I thought you didn't like James Bond," you say.

"I could give it a try," she shrugs. "You could introduce me to the good ones, since you know the franchise."

A) Find a James Bond movie to watch
B) Go with Alfred Hitchcock instead

"Well it'd take me some time to go through the collection and find the best," you say. "Let's go with Hitchcock for now."

The remote is passed over to you.

"So what features do you have?" you ask as you look at the buttons.

"Here," Raven says as she presses a big white button.

The television automatically goes to an "On Demand" menu.

"You can search for things by using the direction buttons and the OK button to select the letter and all that," Cyborg explains.

You move the cursor around and type in "Alfred Hitchcock" before using OK to press the "ENTER" key. A collection of thumbnails appear to advertise the varous Hitchcock films available.

"Oh wow they've got a good amount," you say. "Hmm, well we might as well go with his most infamous one. 1960's Psycho."

"Ooooh, yes!" Raven says excitedly.

You use OK to select it and it begins with opening credits.

"So this is a horror film?" Starfire asks.

"Psychological horror," you say. "And a powerful one."

"Wish we had popcorn," Raven says.

"We'll just have to make do with potstickers and chow mein," Robin says as he settles in beside Starfire on the other end.

"And veggie--"

"And veggie spring rolls," Robin answers Beast Boy's concerns.

The movie truly begins as a young engaged couple, Marion and Sam, meet on a Friday afternoon during their lunch hours at a hotel in downtown Phoenix, Arizona. They discuss how Sam's debts are what is keeping them from having a wedding, but then return to work.

Marion works at a realtor's office, and as she's returning to work, a client comes in with $40,000 cash to buy a house for his daughter as a wedding gift. He flirts a bit with Marion before the money is put in an envelope and Marion's boss tells her to deposit it in the bank right away. Marion asks if she could take the rest of the day off after that, she's "not feeling well." Her boss allows it, and she leaves.

But Marion doesn't go to the bank, she goes back to her hotel room. Starfire gasps.

"Marion lied!" Starfire says.

"It's alright, Star," Robin chuckles.

Marion packs up her things, thinking about just stealing the money. She decides to do just that, and to leave town for the (fictional) Fairvale, California where Sam lives. Marion wants to use the $40,000 to pay off Sam's debts. However, while stopped at a traffic light in town, her boss crosses the street and sees her, making her nervous. He says nothing to her, and she continues on.

Marion drives into California state limits, but does not reach Fairvale so she pulls over for the night, and settles for sleeping in the car. She's woken up the next morning by a highway patrolman, and it's obvious to him through her sleepy shock that she's nervous about something. However, he also lets her go, and she continues on into Bakersfield.

Marion then visits a used car dealership. She quickly exchanges her 1956 Ford Mainline for a 1957 Ford Custom 300. She continues on US 99 in the rain, and becomes more and more paranoid about her boss and client finding out the $40,000 never made it to the bank. She accidentally takes a wrong turn, so she stops at Bates Motel. Apparently this motel has lost a lot of business after the diversion realignment of the main highway.

Upon checking in, Marion meets Norman Bates, the nervous yet friendly young proprietor of the Bates Motel. He invites her over to his room for dinner. She accepts and goes to her room, but while alone and settling in, Marion overhears Norman arguing with his mother. They argue about Norman inviting Marion over, and it gets very heated. Norman gets so mad, that instead he won't have dinner with her in their room, so he and Marion have dinner in the main parlor.

"I'll get it," you say as Robin moves to stand up. "You all continue watching."

"You don't want to pause it?" Raven asks.

"Don't worry, I practically have this movie memorized," you say. "You all keep watching, I'll be right back with the food."

You head to the door and then to the elevator. You ride down to the lobby and walk down the very long and very high-ceiling hallway to reach the front door.

"Hello," you say as you open the door.

On the other side stands a somewhat acne-ridden man in a red shirt and black visor. He has several bags containing many boxes of Chinese food.

"Um... Titan's Tower?" he asks.

"What was your first clue?" you ask sarcastically. "How much?"

"Umm..." he says as he double checks his phone. "$54.83."

You take your wallet out and manage to scrounge up $56.

"Keep the change as the tip," you say as you hand that over.

"Thanks," the guy says as he hands the food over.

It's a lot more than you expected, so you use magic to levitate what you can't carry in your hands. The delivery guy then leaves the island on his motorboat, returning to the main land.

"Obviously that's how he got here," you mutter to yourself.

You return to the elevator and back up to the top floor. You return to Ops and to the others at the couch.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Me-VhC9ieh0

"Oh good, I haven't missed the infamous shower stabbing scene, have I?" you ask as you set the food down on the coffee table.

"It just started," Raven says as you sit down beside her.

"Oh hey, how much do we owe you?" Robin asks as he takes out his wallet.

"I gave him 56 but you can just give the $54.83," you say as Marion's blood swirls down the drain.

"No I can give you the 56," he says as he passes over the money.

"Alright then," you shrug.

You take the money as the others go through the food and Robin passes out thick paper plates and plastic untensils.

Norman comes into Marion's bathroom moments later and finds the dead body. He knows his mother did this, but he has to cover it up. He cleans up the bathroom, wraps Marion in the shower curtain, shoves her into the trunk of her car, and with everything she owns--including the stolen money--he sinks the car in the swamp!

"Rorek, what do you want to eat?" Cyborg asks. "Better hurry or it'll be gone before you get some."

"Oh, true," you say. "Pass the..."

"Grilled Teriyaki Chicken. And some sauce."

"What rice would you like?" Robin asks as he holds the boxes up.

"Chicken fried," you say.

One box of chicken, one cup of dipping sauce and a box of rice is sent over your way. You take your serving of rice, complete with some peas and cubed carrots, and pass the box back. You go to the Teriyaki Chicken and pull out pieces while Raven looks over at the box with glances.

"Why Raven," you say, "would you like some chicken?"

"Yes, thank you," she says with a light blush and bright smile.

You pass the box to her and she takes out pieces to place them on her plate. You leave the dipping cup between you two and finally begin eating as you look back at the television screen.

Marion's sister, Lila, finds Sam in Fairvale and asks where Marion has been. It's been a week and no one has heard from her. They hire Private Investigator Arbogast, and confirms that Marion is the prime suspect in the stolen $40,000 case. Arbogast goes in search of her, and this of course brings him to the Bates Motel.

Raven scoots in a little closer, eagerly awaiting the next scene. You've already fallen for her but this juxtaposition of her giddy excitement and the movie's dark thriller elements oddly enamors you even more.

Arbogast asks Norman about Marion, whether he's seen her and the like. Norman's stammering evasiveness obviously make Arbogast suspicious. When Norman mentions that his mother had met Marion, Arbogast demands to speak to Mrs. Bates about it, which Norman refuses. Arbogast leaves and uses a payphone to call Sam and Lila. He lets them know about meeting Norman, and will return to the motel to talk to the mother. He tells them he'll call back in an hour. He hangs up and goes back to the motel.

As you dip chicken strips in the cup, you have a momentary chicken collision with Raven. You two lock eyes as you glance sideways. You let her dip first, then you dip, making sure not to double-dip a piece.

Arbogast goes around behind the motel and to the Bates home. When he doesn't see Norman outside, Arbogast enters inside. He looks for the mother but doesn't find her downstairs. He goes upstairs, but when he reaches the top, a figure--presumably Mrs. Bates--appears from a room. She rushes and kills Arbogast at the top of the stairs!

"Oh my!" Starfire says.

"Pretty fast for an old lady," Beast Boy says.

The hour passes with a fade to Lila and Sam. As they haven't heard back from Arbogast, they call a local sheriff for the area. When they bring up Mrs. Bates, the sheriff informs them that Mrs. Bates has been dead for ten years! She killed herself and her lover, but the important thing is that it brings into question everything else presented in the story. Raven smiles again as she nudges up against you.

Concerned and confused, Lila and Sam make their way to the motel. At the same time, Norman takes his unwilling mother from her room, telling her he needs to hide her for a while in the fruit cellar.

"What...?" Beast Boy says.

Lila and Sam arrive at the motel and meet Norman. Sam distracts him by striking up a conversation, allowing Lila to sneak over to the house. Norman eventually realizes what they want, so he knocks Sam out and rushes to the house. Lila sees Norman approaching and attempts to hide by going downstairs into a cellar. There she finds Mrs. Bates sitting in a chair. Lila turns her around and discovers that she is in fact a mummified corpse!

Starfire lets out a yelp as Lila screams. A familiar figure comes running into the cellar: it's revealed to be Norman, holding the chef's knife used to stab Marion, and wearing his mother's clothes and a wig. Before Norman can attack Lila, Sam reappears and subdues him. The others let out sighs of relief while you and Raven chuckle.

At the local courthouse, a psychiatrist explains that Norman had murdered Mrs. Bates and her lover ten years prior out of jealousy. Before, they had been living an isolated life together after his father's death, until she met this new man. Unable to bear the guilt of matricide, he exhumed her corpse and began to treat it as if she were still alive. In order to preserve that illusion, he recreated his mother in his own mind as an alternate personality, often dressing in her clothes and talking to himself in her voice.

As such, this "Mother" personality is just as jealous and possessive as the real Mrs. Bates had been: whenever Norman feels attracted to another woman, "Mother" flies into a rage and kills the woman. As "Mother", Norman had killed two missing girls prior to Marion, as well as Arbogast the investigator. The psychiatrist then says the "Mother" personality has taken permanent hold of Norman's mind. While Norman sits in a holding cell, Mrs. Bates' voice is heard protesting that the murders were Norman's doing and that she "wouldn't even harm a fly." Meanwhile, Marion's car is pulled out of the swamp, proving him guilty of that as well.

THE END

"Whoa... That was crazy!" Beast Boy says.

"But it was good, right?" you ask.

"Yeah, super spooky," Beast Boy says.

"Let's watch another," Raven says as she takes the remote.

"Yes, on to Strangers on a Train!" you say.

"Ooo, yes," Raven says with another excited smile.

Raven goes to the On Demand and types in the title. It comes right up and she presses OK to start it up.

"Another psychological thriller, yes?" Starfire asks.

"Yes, and arguably among Hitchcock's top three films," you say. "At least, my family argues over if it is."

Raven chuckles as the movie officially starts.

Amateur tennis star Guy Haines wants to divorce his vulgar and promiscuous wife Miriam so he can marry the elegant Anne Morton, the daughter of a senator, because he also wishes to have a career in politics. On a train ride home, Haines happens to meet Bruno Anthony, who recognizes Haines from the sports pages, and knows about his scandalous situation from the gossip pages.

Bruno tells Guy about his idea for the perfect murder scheme: the two should "swap murders". Bruno will kill Miriam, and in exchange, Guy will kill Bruno's hated father. Each murderer will kill a perfect stranger, having no identifiable motive, so neither will be suspected.

"Whoa..." Beast Boy says as Starfire gasps again.

Guy does not take Bruno's suggestion seriously; he humors Bruno by pretending to find it amusing, but Bruno interprets Guy's response as an actual agreement to the scheme. Guy lets Bruno light a cigarette with a monogrammed "GH" cigarette lighter; but instead of returning it, Bruno puts it in his own pocket.

Guy meets with Miriam, who is pregnant by one of her lovers. She tells Guy that she is no longer willing to agree to a divorce. She threatens to follow Guy all the way to Washington, D.C. and cause further scandal.

After Miriam's ultimatum, Guy calls Anne with the bad news. Speaking figuratively, Guy says he would like to "break her neck", and that he could "strangle her." Meanwhile, Bruno follows Miriam and her two beaux to an amusement park. He stalks her through various rides, and in fact strangles her to death on the "Magic Isle"!

"Oh my!" Starfire reacts again.

Some time later, Bruno contacts Guy and tells him that Miriam is dead. Now Guy must honor his part of the deal and kill Bruno's father. Bruno gives Guy his house key, a map to his father's room, and a pistol.

Anne's father, Senator Morton, also informs Guy that his wife has been murdered. The police question Guy; his alibi--that he was on a train with another passenger at the time of the murder-- fails because the police examine the train schedule and determine that he could have easily left the train in time to commit the murder and then completed his trip on another train. The police do not arrest Guy, but assign a police escort to ensure he does not flee while they continue to investigate.

To pressure Guy into fulfilling his obligation, Bruno introduces himself to Anne. Soon after that, Bruno appears at a party at Senator Morton's house.

"Dude, thish guy'sh a total crashy shycho creep," Beast Boy says, mouth full of veggie spring roll.

To amuse another guest, Bruno demonstrates how to strangle someone by playfully putting his hands around her neck. As he does, his gaze falls upon Anne's sister Barbara, who physically resembles Miriam just enough that it triggers a flashback. Staring at Barbara, Bruno begins to actually strangle the guest before blacking out. In reaction to this incident, Barbara tells Anne that "His hands were on her throat, but he was strangling me." Suspicious of his "friend", Anne confronts Guy. Guy tells her the truth about Bruno's insane murder scheme.

To appease the mad man, Guy pretends to agree to Bruno's original plan. He creeps into Bruno's father's room hoping to in fact warn him of his son's murderous intentions, but the father is away, and Bruno is waiting for Guy there. Guy tries to persuade Bruno to seek psychiatric help, but it does not work. Bruno responds by threatening to punish Guy for betraying him. He menacingly reminds Guy that Bruno is "a very clever fellow".

Anne visits Bruno's house now and attempts to explain to his befuddled mother that her son is responsible for a murder. The dementia-afflicted woman does not believe her. Bruno appears and tells Anne that he has Guy's cigarette lighter! Bruno intends to incriminate Guy by planting it at the amusement park. Knowing this, Anne and Guy then devise a plan for Guy to finish his tennis match quickly, evade his police escort, and reach the amusement park first and prevent Bruno from planting the lighter.

Guy eventually wins the long match at Forest Hills, and after eluding the police, heads for the amusement park. Bruno is fortunately delayed when he accidentally drops Guy's lighter down a storm drain and has to recover it.

Guy arrives at the amusement park. Bruno stays out of sight until sunset when he can plant the lighter on the "Magic Isle". A worker recognizes him from the night of the murder and informs the police. Guy catches up to Bruno, and they fight on the park's carousel! Police arrive and, thinking Guy is trying to escape, a police officer shoots at him!

"Whoa!" Beast Boy says.

The shot misses and kills the carousel operator instead. The dead man falls onto the carousel's control panel and the carousel spins wildly out of control until it crashes. Bruno is mortally injured in the wreck. The worker who recognized Bruno tells the police chief that Guy is completely innocent. Guy also tells the police that Bruno was attempting to plant Guy's lighter at the murder scene. Bruno lies to the police, but as he dies, his fingers open to reveal Guy's lighter in his hand, thus confirming the truth.

You expect end credits, but the movie keeps going.

"Oh, this is the U.S. version," you say. "I don't usually get to see this scene."

Guy is reunited with Anne on a train ride home. A minister, who is also a tennis fan, recognizes Guy and attempts to strike up a conversation. Guy, hardened by his traumatic experience, turns away coldly and leaves with Anne, without a single word to the eager fan.

"Wow, that gave it an even more tragic tone," you say.

"Yeah, it's even more compelling," Raven says.

"Well, now that the spooky double feature is over," Cyborg says as he stretches. "I think I'm gonna turn in."

"Same," Beast Boy stretches with a cat-like back arch.

"Yes, it is time for the turning in for sleep," Starfire says, yawning part way through.

"Wait, we should put the food away," Robin says as the others get up.

"Oh don't worry," Raven says, "Rorek and I can get these."

"Oh?" you and Robin both say.

"Well, yeah," Raven says. "We'll still be up a little longer."

"Oh," you and Robin both say again.

You don't remember talking about this with Raven but you don't question it, either.

"In that case, see you two in the morning," Robin says as he and the others head to the door; they mutter between themselves but Robin manages to persuade them to leave and close the door behind them.

"So then," Raven says as you two move to the center of the couch, "what should we watch next? Rear Window? The Birds? Unless you want to move on to another type of horror."

"Let's continue with Hitchcock," you say. "I'll even give you your choice."

"Then let's go with The Birds," she says as she searches for it.

The movie comes up, she selects it, and it begins as you have a bit more teriyaki chicken. Raven snuggles in extra close, but also to dip chicken in the cup.

Young socialite Melanie Daniels, known for rather racy behavior and playing pranks, meets lawyer Mitch Brenner in a San Francisco bird shop. He wants to purchase a pair of lovebirds for his sister's eleventh birthday, but the shop has none. He had seen her in court once before when her recklessness resulted in the breaking of a plate-glass window, but she does not know him.

Attracted to her as he is, he plays a prank by pretending to mistake her for a salesperson. She is infuriated when she discovers this, even though she also likes to play practical jokes. Then, intrigued by his veiled advance, she finds his weekend address in Bodega Bay, purchases a pair of lovebirds, and makes the long drive to deliver them.

"Such an innocent start," Raven says. "So great."

When Melanie arrives, she finds he is not there, so she leaves the birdcage inside the Brenner family home, with a note. He spots her on the water through a pair of binoculars during her retreat, and races across the bay to head her off. She is suddenly attacked and injured by a seagull near shore on the town side. After making sure she is alright, he invites her to dinner, and she hesitantly agrees.

Melanie gets to know Mitch, his alternately domineering and needy mother Lydia, and his younger sister Cathy who the birds were for. She also befriends local schoolteacher Annie Hayworth, Mitch's ex-lover.

When Melanie spends the night at Annie's house they are startled by a loud thud; a gull has killed itself by flying into the front door. At Cathy's birthday party the next day, the guests are set upon by more seagulls! And that evening, sparrows invade the Brenner home through the chimney!

"How well do you think the tower would withstand a bird attack?" you ask.

"Well there's no chimney, and the windows are strong plate glass," she says. "Though, I think we'd have to worry about Beast Boy contracting the same avian disease or whatever it is making the birds go crazy."

"Hmm..." you nod as you look back at the movie.

The next morning, Lydia, a widow who still sees to the family farmstead, pays a visit to a neighboring farmer to discuss the unusual behavior of her chickens. But she finds his eyeless corpse pecked lifeless by those birds, and flees in terror!

After being comforted by Melanie and Mitch, Lydia expresses concern for Cathy's safety at school. Melanie drives there and waits for class to end, unaware that a large murder of crows are massing in the nearby playground.

Raven curls her legs and smiles in anticipation. She even rests against you lightly as she keeps eating teriyaki chicken.

Melanie is unnerved when she sees the jungle gym covered by the black birds, so she goes into the schoolhouse and warns Annie. Together, they calmly tell the children school is over for the day, and evacuate the children to the main street.

The commotion stirs the crows into attacking, injuring several of the children as they run. A young girl is seriously injured after being felled by the crows, her eyeglasses shattering. She calls on Cathy for help and Melanie pushes them inside a parked car, blasting the horn as crows engulf the vehicle.

The footage is a bit cheesy by today's standards, but Raven seems to still fully embrace the crows flying around and tormenting the young boys and girls.

Melanie gets the car running and makes it to The Tides restaurant. From there she calls her father's newspaper about this attack. Several patrons describe their own encounters with aggressive bird behavior. An amateur ornithologist dismisses the reports as fanciful and argues with everyone over them, siting that birds of other species don't flock together.

Mitch arrives with the sheriff and corroborates Melanie's claims. As the patrons continue to argue about the likelihood of such ornithological behavior, Melanie notices birds swooping at a man across the street at the gas station. She alerts the others and they witness the man knocked unconscious while filling his car with fuel, which spills out onto the street.

"Oh this next part is great," Raven says eagerly.

You already know what she means as patrons run outside to assist, unaware of the danger. At the same time, a bystander attempts to light a cigar, but the gasoline has reached him. Melanie and others try to warn the man, but birds attack him and cause him to drop his cigar, igniting the pool of gas and becoming incinerated. Then as the man collapses from the pain of flames, the flames themselves go back up the line of gasoline!

"Oh yes here's that part," you say as the shot-by-shot has Melanie following the flames so stiffly. "It seems so corny for such a shocking situation."

"Oh, I was just talking about the explosion," Raven chuckles as it happens on screen. "And now the seagulls just swarm the area and cause chaos!"

Raven smiles and leans against you a little more as you watch the mix of layered footage and puppet seagulls fly about and cause people to crash their cars or flee in fright.

"It's so good for just a 1963 film," Raven says.

Raven rests her head on your shoulder as Melanie is forced to take refuge in a phone booth. Seagulls pummel it, she tries to flee from there, but they force her to rethink it several times. The camera takes Melanie's point of view as a horse-drawn cart topples and spills the load as crows ravage the horses, an out-of-control car crashes into the burning vehicles as the driver is attacked by gulls, and a bloodied man staggers helplessly against the phone booth doors as he is ravaged by even more gulls.

"Raven, when I say this," you start as she gets into the action, "I mean it in the nicest and complimentary way possible. I love how strange you are."

Raven looks at you with the greatest and most endearing combination of shyness, affection and delight as she smiles and shrugs her shoulders up. You are then surprised as she moves in as close as possible and, with only a small bit of hesitation, presses her lips against yours.

You wrap an arm around her lower back and pull her right up against you, never breaking contact with her lips. She responds by putting her hands just under your cheeks and pulling your lips and mouth in deeper. You're also pretty sure she's using tongue now.

Even with eyes closed, your hand knows where to go to pull one of her legs across your lap and sit her down on top of you. She breaks lip contact out of surprise, but she bites her lower lip as she smiles and comes back for more.

Your breathing, as well as Raven's, quickens with your racing hearts and smacking lips. She wraps her arms around your neck, you wrap your arms around her waist, and she starts wrapping around your waist with her legs. Your blood pumps faster as you slide your hands to her hips and then up her sides until they're just under her armpits. You lift her up to break lip contact so that you can start kissing her neck. Raven gasps in surprise but also with excitement, wrapping her legs tighter while putting a hand on the back of your head to bring it in closer.

"Rorek," she says with a soft moan. "Rorek, yes!"

You nip and peck at her neck, Raven unclips her cloak and tosses it aside. You start tugging at the neck of her leotard to get at the bare skin underneath.

"Wait," she says as she puts a hand on yours.

"Oh, no," you say, "it's just to bare your shoulders."

"Oh," she says with a giddy and embarrassed smile. "In that case..."

Raven leans back and pulls her leotard down to stretch over her shoulders, and she carefully slips each arm out in turn. You impatiently give a loving nibble to her right shoulder before kissing up and down between shoulder and neck. Raven giggles as she wraps her bared arms around you, a hand returning to the back of your head to run through your long white hair.

One of your hands returns to her lower back while the other reaches behind Raven's shoulder. That hand grabs and kneads the soft flesh and toned muscle as you continue to kiss and nibble the same on the other shoulder. You then wrap both arms around her waist again as you lift her up a little more and bury your face in her chest.

"Rorek!" Raven says before letting out more excited gasps.

You recline back against the couch so that Raven falls against you, burying you even deeper. She wraps you so tightly, but not painfully. You gnaw and nibble at this sensual valley as her peaks press in on either side. She pants and gasps amorously as her arms and chest begin to engulf your head, and they grow in intensity as you both squeeze each other tighter than ever before.

*ZAPF* The lights go out in Ops.

You come up for air as Raven looks around the room, now only lit by the television screen's glow as the radio in The Birds reports the spread of bird attacks to nearby communities. You two look at each other and, though panting, smile and laugh.

"I, uh... I didn't think my powers would react like that," Raven says as she sits down beside you.

"Hopefully the bulbs didn't get burned out," you say. "Seems like they'd be a bother to replace."

"So what now?" Raven asks with an eager look in her eyes.

"Well," you say as you use magic and a wave of your hand to close all the take-out boxes at once. "We could go to your room."

Raven bites her lower lip again. She picks up her cloak and uses magic and a wave of her hand to pack the Chinese food away into bags and move them to the kitchen area. You help by manually putting the food away in the refridgerator, and by the time you finish and turn towards the door, Raven is upon you again, arms and legs wrapped around you as she voraciously kisses your lips and cheeks.

"I appreciate the enthusiasm," you chuckle. "But please, let's leave something for when we arrive in the bedroom."

Raven bites her lower lip once more, and lets out a little chuckle of her own as she climbs down. You turn off the television and then take Raven's hand as she leads you out of Ops. You turn the corner and stop at her door. She opens it, you follow her through and close it behind you.

Raven uses her magic to hang up her cloak on a coat tree as she walks to her bed, and your eyes scan every last alluring piece of her body. She also takes off her belt and places that on top of her chest of drawers. She then slinks onto her bed and lies down with the stuffed animal snake as she slowly, seductively rolls onto her back, legs smoothing against each other as she looks at you with this longing, "come hither" look.

Without even thinking, you've moved to the very edge of the bed. Raven bites her lower lip again as she smooths a leg up your side. Your shirt ends up moved out of the way, so you get bare skin of her shin and calf against the bare skin of your side and ribs. It sends a bolt of excitement up your spine, and that causes your arm to instinctively grab on to that calf and move up to under the knee.

Raven gasps and smiles as you move onto the bed while your hand moves to her thigh. You rest on top of her as your other hand grabs her other leg's thigh and you indulge in smoothing and grabbing at the luscious flesh as she brings you into a kiss.

"Here," Raven says as she brings your hands up to her chest.

"There?" you say in surprise.

"Yes," Raven says with a slight moan as her eyes close and back arches.

"Yes...!" you say as you squeeze and squish!

Raven's legs curl while her hands run through your hair and her lips touch yours.

"I love this thick hair of yours," she says. "And those blue eyes."

"I love... everything," you say. "Your eyes, your lips, your voice. This body, the... These legs!"

You sit up and grab her right leg. You smooth your hands from thigh to knee to calf, then kiss from calf to knee. You look into Raven's eyes, and that spark of sensual energy is your green light, so you kiss past the knee to kiss the inner thigh. One more excited gasp from Raven, and you really get into, squeezing and kneading the thigh as you kiss.

Raven suddenly pulls you back up to kiss you on the lips, then you lie down beside her. You kiss at her neck, cheeks and earlobe as one hand reaches around her body to grab a bosom while the other keeps a hold of her thigh. She wriggles and arches in sensual delight as her hands match yours. She even uses her hands to encourage yours to work harder, faster, deeper...

"Yes," she lets out with a soft moan. "Right there. Yes. Rorek yes! *gasp* Yes. Kiss me!"

You do as commanded, pressing lips to lips but never stopping with your hands. Her kisses get sloppy and wet but you don't care, you're being draw further and further into the spiral of lust. You go back to nibbling her ear as you give strong gripping squeezes to her lustful body. She arches her back and lets out a sharp moan and gasp.

"Yes. Yes!" she says, getting a little louder. "Rorek~!"

She then lets out this sudden, squeaky yet adorable sound before her legs straighten and head snaps back *WHOOMF* a wave or tremor goes through the room, shaking everything in the room, as noted by the rattling of her mirror and the trinkets on her shelves.

You look around, and are grateful when nothing looks broken or fallen over. Raven is breathing deeply as she rests in your arms. She lifts her head up to look at you, and smiles as she pants. You smile back as you release her.

You lie down with Raven, both of you resting your heads on top of the pink-and-red snake. She still has her leotard down off her shoulders, and in all the commotion of squeezing and pulling, it's come down a little to show more bosom than before.

You move in and give gentle kisses to her shoulder, moving slowly down to her upperarm, elbow, forearm, hand and fingers. She puts that hand on the back of your head, you return to kissing her shoulder. From there you slowly move back to her neck, cheek and ear.

"If it isn't obvious," you whisper into her ear, "I'd like to stay the night if that's alright with you."

"Sure," she says.

You two settle in, your head tucked just under hers as you continue to kiss between shoulder and neck.

"Y'know," she smirks. "You said you love my legs, but I'm thinking you really really like another part of my body."

"Whaaat?" you say jokingly. "Why do you think that?"

"A woman doesn't need Empathic abilities to see your eyes looking at things," she says.

"Oh..."

You two share a little laugh, then she sits up and goes to put her arms back inside her leotard. She then looks over her shoulder at you, you playfully pout, she giggles and leaves the arms out.

"Yay...!" you say as she lies back down.

"I've never... I've never done any of this before," Raven says, blushing a little.

"I'm incredibly honored to be the first, then," you say.

"Wait," she says as she props herself up on an elbow, "have... have you made out with someone before?"

"Oh, I don't want to... The word that comes to mind is 'brag' but that in itself sounds arrogant."

"Was it with one of your 'betrothed~'?" Raven asks.

"I don't need Empathic abilities to know you're being derisive."

"So what if I am?" she says before smirking.

"Then I applaud you," you say before giving a soft golf clap.

Raven giggles as she wraps her arms and hooks one leg around you. You wrap and arm around her and let out a happy exhale before you kiss her on her forehead.

"When did you get this gem for your chakra, by the way?" you ask.

"Oh, fairly early in my childhood," she says. "I don't mean to brag, but I was a bit of a prodigy."

Raven's playfully prideful smile makes both of you laugh again. Then she lets out a happy exhale of her own as she settles back in.
