Well, the next nomination process is likely to begin on Thursday. I really hope everyone participates and finds someone they like (multiples are good too).

Also Suor, didn't respond to this but Legion is generally one of the most popular ME characters. Much more popular than Thane (usually) who made top 10 in this field.

Thane has a sizable following, but I would agree that Legion's is larger. Which is actually OK with me since Legion's probably my favorite squadmate, but Thane is in the top five or so, in any case.

Legion... I might be tempted to push him over Data, even, come to think of it.

Eh, fine. I will trust the contest to be better than my expectations then. Just to clarify Charon, the sabotage thing was more of a joke than anything, I thought it would've been kind of hilarious if Robots ended up not being next again. I was honestly keen on having it merged with Cyborgs more than sabotaging it altogether because I felt that it would've strengthen the field and I wasn't the only one thinking that, but I guess we'll see where nominations will lead us to.

Anyway, It'd be nice if you clarified your stance on ambiguous entries such as the MK and Dragon Ball characters, because I thought they wouldn't have been allowed for example. What makes them Robots, lack of free will? Extreme body modifications?

Body modifications and the loss of a human soul are big points for being robots (though I'm not saying all the entrants need to be soulless or have these same qualifications). The large majority of true cyborgs are cyborgs by choice or necessity. That specific group of characters were all forcibly turned into machines. That alone doesn't make them robots, but in those specific examples their extremity of their changes effectively make them robots (enough for them to appear on that list, as there is another list specially for cyborgs on Wikipedia).

Even though it is user generated, Wikipedia has always been one of my main sources for determining if characters qualify for these contests. Basically anything on that page I am in approval of unless I find sufficient evidence otherwise.
