Yup. I thought it wouldn't fit. Turns out it totally did.

you mean a mini usb cable i assume?
because the chargers that the handhelds use (DS and 3DS alike) are... basically slightly fatter mini usbs.

nah, for the ds lite it definitely does. it's a well known hack/mod for the system. i think the same goes for the original DS, but from DSi onwards they changed things around a bit to make this impossible to fit.

i mean it's still a modified mini usb, but it won't fit and i'm not sure if they changed anything about it.

the original DS has a different charger than lite so i don't see how it could work for both

yes, one end of most USB cables look like that... but it's pretty obvious that trying to charge a DS lite, you'd use the other end. and if the other end looks the same, then yeah that's a pretty rare cable.

I know what they're talking about. I've charge my DSLite with the very same thing. But to say USB is more associated with anything but what I posted is insane.

they're all common cables.
usb to usb, usb to mini usb, usb to micro usb.
all common, all for entirely different reasons.

i've never seen USB to USB. only USB to ...the original other end of a USB that plugs into external drives and such.
