Another great chest tri workout

Anyway, my question for you guys is this:

What time of day do you work out?

I prefer late morning or late afternoon (10:30 am to like noon or 5pm to like 630). I read online once that people who workout early in the morning (6am to like 9am) are more likely to keep going to the gym and not slack off, people who go later in the day (and dont skip workouts) are more likely to see bigger gains. Not sure about people who go around midday.

For chest/triceps I usually do the following:

Bench Press 1x12,8,4,1,failure: Lately the weight has been: 185/205/225/240/135 (usually I get about 20 reps for the failure set)

One arm cable tricep extension 3x10: 30/35/42.5

Dumbbell Press 3x10: 65/75/80

Dips 3x10: ya

Incline Press 3x10: 135/155/185

2 arm cable tricep extension 3x10: 65/72.5/72.5

Abs if I feel i got some energy still, some days I have it other days i dont.

That was my most recent chest/tricep workout. My rule of thumb for most workouts is whichever muscles i target I do 3 exercises for that muscle group. For back/biceps I do something similar.

I believe that.

I go around 4-5pm because that's when I'm done with class and can hit the gym on campus. Now that class is out I've been slacking but I might try to go before noon. We'll see.

Is it bad that I only like to go to the gym when there's few people there?

It was weird. I would always feel really bad about working out at night, like I wasn't getting the most out of it or something. But probably the last 6 weeks I did of P90x this winter/spring were all done after 10pm and the results didn't change.

Those were just the hours that worked best for me with school and work and everything, and working out at all is better than doing nothing.

not a morning person at all so i just go to the gym after work which is thankfully near

i used to go at 6:30pm but ever since a couple of dudes started hogging the squat rack just a bit earlier, i've started going at 8

i never saw it as a problem before but since i started SS, i realize that just one squat rack in the gym is not enough

still haven't gotten back since my injury though but i plan on going next week if my PT clears me

One squat rack?? Damn, sometimes I forget how lucky my college gym is that we have 6 of them!

the gym i go to is pretty small

it's nice in that it's got everything from machines to treadmills to ellipticals to bikes to the entire range of free weights and racks

there's an area for boxing, for stretching and stability exercises, two studios for big aerobics classes, a well maintained swimming pool, nice and clean locker rooms with fully functional showers complete with soap and shampoo and lotion and all that jazz

it's just that there's only one squat rack!

but it looks like i'll be taking more than a month off of going to the gym, not because of my back injury but because i'm transitioning to a new job

just getting an allowance for the first month's training which is clearly not enough to pay for my membership in a month

i'll just take this time to keep doing calisthenics and cut weight to see if i can get a six-pack going so i can say this break will lead to something good!

the squats and deadlifts already did most of the job but my months long bulking has covered it up

Solid core body workout today. I've lost about 3 lbs since starting this topic just from cutting out soda from the diet aside from maybe once a week. My vertical leap has seem improvement on the court for pickup games.
