From: vcharon | #447 Literally a Belle supporter's words. Can't remember any time she's ever been in trouble.
That's because I exhaust all of my 4 saves saving and trading for her. I wish I had the luxury of saving my second and THIRD favourites still left in this contest. I wish I had the luxury of offering next round trades for my third priority >_>

Also, having watched Pocahontas again today I'm reminded of something: Why is this film the Renaissance black sheep? Every other film from the era has had characters make deep runs with trading supporters. Even Kuzco pulled that off last contest (though all those people seem to have disappeared this contest).
Too bad both of the main characters got the boot, now we have to look at Meeko as the only character from the film at all unless... I get Governor Ratcliffe in =D

Yeah, I wanted to make Poca my main for next contest. Guess that will have to wait for contest VII.
Also please no, I'd rather have Grandmother WIllow.

From: Achromatic | #221 Okay well that is probably my last save regardless but I also have to go soon, so standard thing: If DW advances I will get a next round (or future if I am not around for the very next round) for the saves from now on.
Chris, you can get DW for me. ^_~

Pooh could probably use the help. :)

Alright, looks like I'll be finishing it out on my own. Let me know when you're going to watch pooh though. I've got it on DVD so I can do it whenever.
I feel like I should watch Hunchback again. I don't remember being a real fan of it and I remember nothing of the villain. Yet I've heard so much good about it from this board.

Anyway guys, if you're into books and you have the chance also read the original book "Notre Dame de Paris" from Hugo. It's really worth it and it's interesting to compare it to the movie.

I'm with you, honestly. Although I do remember Frollo, I don't remember liking him too much, even as a villain. Just kinda meh. Of all the Disney Renaissance movies, I'd put it second to last, above Pocahontas.

Whoooooa, it's not up there with the masterpieces like The Lion King or Aladdin, but next to last only above Pocahontas? I'd have to disagree there.
Quick, someone list all the Disney Renaissance films
I'll go ahead and rank them in my order of preference, and you can judge for yourself.
The Lion King Aladdin Mulan Tarzan Beauty and the Beast Hercules The Little Mermaid Hunchback of Notre Dame Pocahontas
If you want to count Rescuers Down Under then I guess that would be last. I didn't like Pocahontas. Hunchback of Notre Dame was meh. I at least liked everything else.
The Lion King Aladdin Mulan Hunchback of Notre Dame The Little Mermaid (despite its many flaws it is still great) Beauty and the Beast Tarzan Hercules Pocahontas
So Hunchback is upper mid-tier for me. I was not incredibly fond of Hercules or Tarzan- my problem with the former is that I did not like its art direction at all, and my problem with the latter is the lack of a decent supporting cast. Kala is great. Kerchak, Terk, Tantor, and the rest are all yucky. Pocahontas was just boring (no offense, Suor).
That's the thing about opinions, though. They're subjective. I found Hunchback to be fun at some parts, but boring at others (more parts boring than fun). I put it above Pocahontas because that bored me almost the entire way through. And when I was a kid... well, I'm pretty sure the art direction was the last thing on my mind. I didn't mind Tarzan's cast so much. I liked Tantor, Turk was okay, and Kerchak was kind of interesting with the "Yeah, he's definitely the villain... OH S*** NO HE'S NOT." As least as a kid, I didn't really see Clayton coming. If it had a good story, good songs, and was generally entertaining, I liked it. If it wasn't, then I didn't. Hunchback was just okay.
