one of my favorite things about 3s is figuring people out. like someone does something repeatedly and you lose the first round, but you make that adjustment and beat him the next two. there was this Dudley player against my Chun who continuously parried forward on his wakeup. caught me a few times. second and third rounds, I abused that silliness. I have no idea why this guy thought it was a good idea to parry up on wakeup against Chun, but hopefully I resolved that for him! down medium into super is half health, baby.

lots of Japanese dudes on at night though. makes it tough to get wins! even online the Japanese are better than us at this game.

played SFxT for about 9 hours yesterday to get to 500 online matches. Hopefully by tomorrow I'll be done with it and have my platinum. Just got a few of the lingering ones that you can do in Versus mode like do 300 Cross Assautls and Cross Arts and what not

there's this sick 3s player named EatableTech765 who plays on GGPO and 360. If you can find and play him, he's incredible. I walked into his lobby and got wrecked 3 times with 3 different characters. One of my SRK buddies was in there before me and sent me a message that this guy hasn't lost a game in the last 2 hours. And he keeps rotating characters. It's moments like this when you realize you're not that good!

I beat him! I ended a 2 1/2 hour win streak

it took him playing Q and me playing Elena to do it but I toppled the mountain

then immediately my roommates started youtubing or porning or whatever they do and I had to drop out without defending my crown. sux

she's not nearly that good. and she's pretty execution heavy. her buttons are solid, but other characters have way better ones (fei long omg). she's definitely high tier though, yeah.

chun is execution heavy too! played at any kind of high level she's probably the second or third most technical character in 3s.

Nuki and Kuroda commentating high level 3s, with english subs on the bottom. The two of them may be the best two 3s players in the world, and if not both are definitely top 5. Really cool stuff and worth a watch IMO!

I played the top ranked Makoto earlier today, took the first round handily. The second round went down to the wire and I lost one hit away from victory, then I lost the third round by a bit more thanks to some damaging combos. But I did manage to outzone him for nearly two rounds, and I'm pretty proud of that!

I also beat the 8th ranked Zangief today. And now I have to head to bed, no more fighting games for me today
