So I'm going on break and I'm heading to the register so I can eat during my break.
Guy: Excuse me can you help...
Me: Sorry, I'm on break.
Guy: Well that's just RUDE.
I continue walking to the cash register and the guys starts walking over there too and says "You're a real a******". I shrug my shoulders and say whatever and pay for my food. He finds an employee with a walkie and asks to talk to a supervisor, and will never shop here again, only at Wal Mart. After I'm done checking out I look at him and he's trying to mad dog me. I'm trying not to laugh while I look at his face. I tell everyone in the breakroom what happened and they say that sucks or I would've done the same thing. I didn't even talk to him in a rude way. Not supposed to work on break, yadda yadda.
TLDR version:
Guy: I can haz help?
Me: On break sry
Guy: A****** I'm calling supervisor and get u banned from Target.
retail jobs are literally worse than working in a sweat shop(I know this from experience), you just deal with ridiculously ignorant rednecks and ghetto trash all day every day, get out as soon as you can
From: Pokalicious | #018 Yeah guys, he could get fired for answering a really simple question.
Actually yeah, you can. But at wal-mart it was only if you were off the clock. We'd still be clocked in on our 15 minute breaks so it wasn't a big deal if we actually quickly helped a customer and then continue our break.
But who knows? Maybe the customer didn't have a watch / cellphone and wanted to know what time it was. Unlikely, but since he didn't even hear the customer out, there's no way he can be certain of it.
From: Ayuyu | #021 Why the hell would you be fired for working on break?
You work for free, sounds like a good deal to me.
Probably some legal issue. I'd imagine someone complained at one point that they were forced to do work while on break so to avoid legal action the company said "**** it, nobody can work on break."
Yeah it's legal issues. If they allowed associates to work off the clock at all then that associate could also turn around and use that against the company in some way.
literally someone who has never had a job in his life saying that an entire group of workers is whiners for their treatment that he knows nothing about while also making fun of them for not earning much despite having never earned anything lmao
I asked if you had ever had a job, you did not answer. If you had a job before, you would have answered in order to make yourself at least seem like you knew what you were taking about. By not answering, you have just proved that you are clueless as usual.
