16 of the most prominent Song of Ice and Fire characters are left! Who is the best character GRRM has ever created?! The most votes per round wins and moves on in this bracket style competition. The contest will continue until the most popular character in Westeros is crowned!!!
This contest can be found on 2 different boards, but only one vote per user will be accepted. The two boards are: Books and Literature and Gamefaqs Contests. Any suspicious votes will be discounted. Each character will be supplied with a link to Wiki Song of Ice and Fire that briefly describes them and their accomplishments throughout the series. Theres a lot of characters in this series, my hope is that these links will remind users who did what and when.
If there are any further questions please feel free to ask and I will be happy to answer!!
~ Whoa. Leave it to Tyrion to upstage his brother. Pounding Littlefinger into the ground is a much more tout-able accomplishment than pounding Barristan. Tyrion actually looks like the odds on favorite to win. But who knows? Stranger things have happened.
~ Sansa beats her sister-in-law very soundly. This was a huge surprise to me. I wasn't confident in Sansa's ability to keep it close, nevertheless win with room to spare. Congrats Sansa! There's more than one Stark girl that has high popularity!
~ Tyrion will face his wife in the Round of 8 coming up next! Based on trends, that match should end up with Sansa losing by a landslide. We shall see though!
Wow, I'm surprised by the Sansa win! Even though I voted for Cersei, I'm fine with Sansa making it to the division finals. That said...
(4)Varys - Again, I don't find Jon to be especially compelling, perhaps a *bit* too clichéd, and since he'll probably win this, I'm going to give my vote to good old' Varys. (3)Theon Greyjoy - Absolutely no doubt in my mind. Theon is one of the best characters of the whole series, with incredible development and complexity, while Syrio's a one-scene wonder.
Unsure about Jon/Varys, but I think Jon takes it. The winner will fall before Theon, though, who will make short work of Syrio. Still unsure about how Tyrion/Theon will fly (Tyrion has been underwhelming against LF), guess I'll have to wait and see how good of a performance Theon gives this round before making predictions.

Do you think cats are clever? They don't hold a candle to dogs and SuperNiceDog is the cream of the crop since he won the Guru contest without breaking a sweat.
(1)Jon Snow - Pity vote. Plus, I actually like reading his chapters. (3)Theon Greyjoy - Syrio's a badass, but Theon's been around for longer. Plus, he went underwent a big character development recently.

(1)Jon Snow - Varys is fun, but Jon Snow's steady progression has been really good, and I find his POV chapters so easy to read. (26)Syrio Forel - As I've said in multiple previous rounds, Syrio's cool and all but he's not around enough, and Theon's clearly better.

(4)Varys - Probably would have gone with Jon if it weren't for getting some more background on his character recently. (26)Syrio Forel - This would have been an easy choice before ADwD, but I'm still going to go with Syrio. Mainly out of pity at this point.

Uh, you sure you voted for the right person? You're write-up seems to indicate a Theon vote.
