Yes that's the one thanks I will bookmark it this time.
Also where the god damn hell can I find a chewy radish. I went over all of Colony 9 and nothing augh. Do certain items have a better chance of showing up in certain areas?

Not that I've really noticed, there are some that only appear at night, or during a storm though.

This post brought to you by Intelligence. Intelligence may not be available in all areas.
The google doc thing is an instant SPOIL on the entire game, I'd stay far away from that thing until you've wrapped up the story.
Oh and I really, really recommend doing the Colony 6 thing as you progress in the game, at least the first couple of levels. It's not too much hassle and the NPCs there tell you where to find nearly all the materials you need.
If you disregard it completely some things later in the game will be... less cool.
Yeah I just raised everything at colony 6 to level 2-3. If you look up where the items are on the wiki, it's actually not a terrible grind to get items.

Does anyone have any idea how the hell I'm supposed to use 'xbsave' file types on the Wii? I found a veritable treasure trove of the things including one relatively close to where I was at but the tutorial makes zero sense to me.
I need to pack these things up into a data bin somehow but I can't for the life of me figure out how.
baron von toast posted... I am at Makna Forest / Frontier Village with all of the main story stuff finished, ready to move on to the... something Sea.
I suppose I could always YouTube what I 'missed'. If you'd be so kind as to upload your save I would award you with approximately 9000 internet points.
I roll with three saves like a boss but the only difference between any of them at this point is sidequests. Never mucked about with Wii saves before but I'm pretty sure I did this right. Seems straightforward enough.
Speaking of sidequests where the god damn hell do I find Ewan. He went off on some adventure and it says to head for the marsh or the mine to find him but I have yet to find an Ewan.
transience posted... so is there a drastic difference in sidequests or level between your games now?
Not overly! I think I would have been higher than 38 at this point (I was 34 heading into Makna Forest) but not by too much. Besides, challenge is good.
I did note that baron, you don't seem to be too fond of purchasing the intermediate arts books. I went ahead and did so for myself (well, I'm trying to find Melia's and Riki's) but I'm curious as to why you didn't! Just curiosity, nothin' more. You sure did have a ton of gold though!
As for sidequests, I did a few more for my point in the game but I'm a sucker for those things. I can just redo 'em. And now I'm off to YouTube to see what I missed.
From: KommunistKoala | #074 When Melia's Elemental Discharge is full, do all the spells discharge with that max power or is it only the current one you're about to discharge
The skill continues to work the same way it does before being full, spells go in the same order and the discharge turns off after a certain number of spells , though it's somewhat random cause sometimes it can be 1 spell or 5 spells before it's gone.
"Oh my god, you've gotta be s***ing me. What was Dunban doing down here? I am extremely annoyed and angry right now. This is by far the worst place in the game! I hate it! My rage for this area is out of control!"
"Dunban, you're startin' to piss me off. You're supposed to be behind me at all times. Not wanderin' around like a puppet. Really, really startin' to piss me off."
Yeah, getting arts books been on my to-do list. I'm going to go around and buy them up before I move on to the next area. I never really visited the merchants at all until I sold off a bunch of level 1 gems to make room for new ones, and noticed, oh, yeah, this tab has arts books, might want to get on that, sometime, later.

Yup, it's something I prioritized. But... my wallet was often suffering for it. They're not cheap!
I loaded that first save up for the record, since I figured it'd be closest.
Skill linking is another thing I haven't done and I probably should. I think I've linked Shulk to an agility boost and Melia to medium armor, because I wanted to equip the Journey Diadem but her own Silly Hat is glued to her head or something.
Wow, I really missed some beautiful locations in this forest. I'm going to spend the next couple of gameplay hours exploring because a YT vid just doesn't do them justice -- and yet I'm already kinda floored with them.
Such a pretty place. Man, I'm gonna be like Level 45 before I progress beyond Frontier Village at this rate though.
Oh, and I switched over to GameFAQs-famous Split Infinity's YouTube playthrough. He inputted cheats to be invincible for the sake of speeding up his run but it doesn't exactly bother me since I'm just seeing what storyline I missed.
You also had several upgrades to Colony 6 lying around waiting to be taken-upon, at least in the first file! You had more of that ready than I did since you were farther so I went ahead and leveled everything up. XD
...also, the chief of Frontier Village kinda freaks me out.
"Don't worry, your littlepons will be taken care of. HUAHUAHUA"
Yeah, I was holding off on upgrading Colony 6 until I finished Ewan's active quest for some arbitrary reason but I still can't find the bastard.
Also, picked up the shield for Emmy's quest while I was buying arts books without realizing what it was. Might go back and not do that and find the sword instead. On the one hand, I carried the ***** this far and might as well see it through. On the other hand, I carried the ***** this far and it's kind of funny seeing her get her **** slapped. Not so tough without Shulk doing all the real work, are we?
Yeah arts books are super important... and they're really the only thing you spend money on, unless you actually buy armor for people. Personally I always find so much armor from mobs that I never need to buy it. You also use money for upgrading Colony 6, but that's an insignificant amount.

Yeah, there are a couple Makna/Frontier quests I still don't have. Like I've got Material Quest 2 and 3 but no 1, or something. I've been up and down that damn tree a million times at all hours and I'm still meeting new people.
So just how many sidequests do you need to do to raise affinity in an area? I have done tons of Colony 9 and Bionis Leg quests and they are still 1 star...

You also raise town affinity by just talking to people with names iirc. My colony 9 affinity is 2 or 3 stars I think. And if you talk to some people after you finish quests for them their affinity will be raised with the other people involved and that raises the city affinity too.
