Just the other day I burned myself on a hot pan when I was cooking steaks (after I put the pan in the sink, I forgot that the handle would still be hot because I had just taken it out of the oven). Usually when I burn myself cooking, I don't get a scar because I run cold water over it right away, but this time I burned myself on my fingertips AND my knuckles, but I only felt the fingertips so I only got those under the cold water. By the time I noticed the burn on my knuckles, it had already left a mark.
