Listening to the bombcast and Jeff mentioned some stuff about Chris Redfield in RE6. Anyway, the question...

If you knew there was a cure that could bring zombies back to being human, would you continue to kill them?

Assume that they can only be cured if their head is intact and they aren't decomposing. So a reasonably "fresh" zombie.

In my opinion, being able to cure zombies would bring the existence of a soul into question.

I suppose if I was a general or something, the orders would become to capture the zombies and hold them in cells. However, in the case of a dangerous situation, violence would still be fully tolerated.

I really don't think Zombies can come back to life, tho. About 90% of their brains is permanently killed off when they zombify. "Curing" the zombies would simply shut down the virus, thus leaving them an empty shell. Either dead, or at least brain dead.

Wouldn't being able to "cure" zombies make the existence of a soul MORE likely, since your brain is basically... Dead as a zombie?

Zombies are for shooting. Curing them would make for a very boring video game. Even if you put the cure in a dart gun, there still wouldn't be enough explosions.

While I was typing out the question, it had occurred to that, yes, curing the zombies would just turn them into dead bodies anyway. But let's just say that they would recover fully, or close enough.
