-Mom's getting remarried next month but she's still out of work, fiancee is living off of retirement, who knows how long that will last

-Brother is getting married next July and will most likely move out

-Younger sister doesn't pay for **** and she's been threatening to move out too, but never does because she's a freeloader and has a 6 year old, posts up skanky pics on Facebook and is in a relationship like every 3 months.

- Older sister is pretty much head of household since she's an RN but is in a serious relationship, might move in with current BF if things go well

-Still can't find a decent job after graduating last year, 100+ job rejections and counting, barely struggling to pay off student loans/rent/credit cards. Want to go to grad school but don't want to go into more debt again. I would go anywhere to get a job since I'm single but I really wouldn't know where to look. Work at Target is spotty and I'm lucky if I get more than 30 hours of work a week.

Just show up to some office and start working.

Work there (for free) for a week or two and then go to payroll saying you didn't receive your check.

They'll straighten it out and BAM! Employment.

You'll most likely have to get a second job at the very least in order to live on your own.

But if you're willing to move away, just look online and see what's out there. I'm guessing there are somewhat professional jobs that you can find to relocate to.

If not, then just do whatever Anri suggested. He knows his s***.

Geography. Trying to do city/urban planning but I keep hearing news about all these cuts and stuff so I'm not sure anymore. Most planning jobs require a masters degree but not sure if I can afford grad school right now.

To quote Everybody Loves Raymond, "Education is the biggest scam going." At the time, it was funny, but now, I'm not so sure.

My degree was intended to put me into law school, but I lost my job and couldn't afford it anymore. Thus, I was like you, sitting on a nearly completely useless degree.

Here's what I did: I went into full-time job training. It deferred my student loans, and I was able to get an unsubsidized loan from the government to cover most of my tuition. With any luck, you'll choose something that's in demand. Jobs that require training should net you something better than minimum wage, which is what you're probably making at Target.

Good luck.

Where did you get job training? And what did you decide to do? Did you end up getting a job with it?

Oh I don't make min wage at Target, been working there since I graduated high school. But I have so many financial obligations that I can barely keep up.

I would like to talk more, but I got work in 6 hours...blech

I went to a place called Polaris Career Center:

www.polaris.edu

They're primarily a vocational school for high school students, but they also offered adult classes. I went full time, by the way (900 hour year-long course), so if you want the student loan deferment, then you'd probably need to do the same.

I took a medical billing and coding class. While the commercials are technically right about the demand, the downside is that employers in the field want experience. It's very difficult to enter the field, as it turns out.

I don't have a job yet. I did have a very promising interview last week, and am hoping that they'll hire me. If not, then I've got a couple of temp agencies that might try to place me.

this topic is really discouraging to me, as someone who has no idea what to do after i "graduate" at the end of this month/spring.

best of luck to you, though, obs.
