I think you're mistaking Cruise for Jean-Claude Van Damme, who got his start with an excellent dancin' cameo. Probably did get nominated for some awards I'd hope.

Jean-Claude had a good cameo, but Tom Cruise just stole every scene he was in.

Hah, okay sure.

I doubt there's a bigger Breakin' fan than me. I actually did my senior film thesis on the intercutting of the dinner scene and the rape scene and how the juxtaposition adds some serious tension.

I got an A+ btw.
