The second round is here! Sixty-four of the most prominent Song of Ice and Fire characters are left! Who is the best character GRRM has ever created?! The most votes per round wins and moves on in this bracket style competition. The contest will continue until the most popular character in Westeros is crowned!!!
This contest can be found on 2 different boards, but only one vote per user will be accepted. The two boards are: Books and Literature and Gamefaqs Contests. Any suspicious votes will be discounted. Each character will be supplied with a link to Wiki Song of Ice and Fire that briefly describes them and their accomplishments throughout the series. Theres a lot of characters in this series, my hope is that these links will remind users who did what and when.
If there are any further questions please feel free to ask and I will be happy to answer!!
~ I don't see the appeal behind Brynden. He swam a river...meh. Meanwhile, Connington was one of the best things about DwD. Big upset as far as I'm concerned. ~ I was also surprised to see Sansa take out Beric. Pleasantly surprised though. ~ I wonder how Kevan will fare against Cersei next round? Kevan laid the smack down on a character with chapters.

Do you think cats are clever? They don't hold a candle to dogs and SuperNiceDog is the cream of the crop since he won the Guru contest without breaking a sweat.
(1)Jon Snow - Manderly's fun and all, but again it's a different league (8)Viserys Targaryen - Asha's winning anyway, and Viserys is highly underrated I find, he does a terrific job of being the rightfully ****ed up whiny psychopath. (12)Arianne Martell - Melisandre's fun and all, but I don't like overly religious characters generally (and not in a "wanting to see them fail" way, in a "I don't care about them" way), and meanwhile Arianne is one of the best parts of FFC. (4)Varys - Sorry Renly, Varys is too cool and you don't really do anything except troll your brother.
-- James - Board 8's Resident Warm And Safe, Slipper-Wearing User & The Cream of Porcupine Tree Fanboyism
Abstain - haven't read the book where Wyman is prominent, but I find Jon a Gary Stu and refuse to vote for him except over characters I outright dislike.
(9)Asha Greyjoy - This one's tough. Asha has some very enjoyable and funny scenes, but Viserys plays his role very effectively. Eh. Asha has a bit more depth to her I thin, we'll go with that.
(12)Arianne Martell - Hopeless underdog vote probably, but Arianne's arc was one of my favourites in FFC. Something about the character clicked with me.
(13)Renly Baratheon - Another close one. I could easily see Varys taking this once I actually learn his motivations, but for now, four books and them still being a secret makes me narrowly give this to Renly who makes good use of his limited screentime.
