you should take the mean score round from this year and just replace the first round with it next year
just thinking about giving a .1 to a bunch of bottom of the barrel users while reserving the high point values for the actual good users, striving for that perfect 5.0 balance, is getting me hot. it was a good idea this year but poor in execution because in the effort of balancing your mean score you had to score certain users incorrectly. I mean, once you get to like the top 5 there aren't that many users deserving of a less than average score left.
anyway, improvements that could also be made to the mean score round: - make the target mean score 5.9 in honor of our savior LordEmbok - display every users average worth once the round is done so we know how high priority any given user on board 8 is
well, you could be a bit more lenient in order to bait casuals. maybe anyone who has placed top 5 or better in user of the year would be allowed to vote.
