Them: "So is $1000 OK for you?"
Me: "Yeah, David had mentioned like $700?"
Them: "Nah, you're a company man. You get $1000."
Feels gooooood! Being given more money than you expected because you have something of a reputation within the company makes me want to be like a million times more productive. Companies should do that more often, though probably on a smaller scale.
