128 of the most prominent Song of Ice and Fire characters have been placed in a bracket to see who the best character GRRM has ever created is! The most votes per round wins. The contest will continue until the most popular character in Westeros is crowned!!!
This contest can be found on 3 different boards, but only one vote per user will be accepted. The two boards are: Books and Literature, Gamefaqs Contests, and PotD. Any suspicious votes will be discounted. Each character will be supplied with a link to Wiki Song of Ice and Fire that briefly describes them and their accomplishments throughout the series. Theres a lot of characters in this series, my hope is that these links will remind users who did what and when.
If there are any further questions please feel free to ask and I will be happy to answer!!
(2)Catelyn Tully Stark - 13 (31)Tormund Giantsbane - 8
(15)Meera Reed - 11 (18)Strong Belwas - 10
~ Lots of exciting match ups and some interesting results! I'd say this was the most intriguing round yet. ~ Oberyn trounces the Queen of Thorns in what I believed would be a much closer match. ~ Ilyn and Grey Worm went back and forth the whole day, but Ilyn finally put the proud eunuch down. ~ Syrio becomes the favorite to win his half of the bracket in my opinion. I believe he'll be meeting up with Theon, Oberyn, or Mance. What a lasting impression in a short amount of time this guy has made on readers! ~ Rodrik and Tormund give Gregor and Catelyn a run for their money. Catelyn is yet another overseeded Stark. ~ And in the biggest surprise of the round, Meera barely outlast Belwas to get a shot at Catelyn!

http://objection.mrdictionary.net/go.php?n=5364544 Congrats to SuperNiceDog! Guru Champ!
(1)Daenerys Targaryen - Mya's a nice character and all, but this is different league. (17)Illyrio Mopatis - Balon's funny, but Illyrio's actually an intriguing character, which wins. (8)Dolorous Edd - Edd is one of the best parts of the Wall chapters, and while Osha's nice enough she's been AWOL for 3 books. (9)Sandor Clegane - Randyll Tarly's a douche, and he's a minor enough character that I don't care about seeing him get a comeuppance. (5)Tywin Lannister - Tywin's one of my absolute favourite characters and I'd be voting for him even if I COULD remember who Alys Karstark is. (12)Maester Aemon - Jon Arryn is an important character, but it's difficult to vote for him when his only real role in the series was to die at the start. Aemon on the other hand is a very interesting character, being a living Targaryen and all! (29)Donal Noye - I don't like Victarion, he's just not really that interesting. Donal Noye is very minor, but his heroic sacrifice story is pretty well told still. (13)Tommen Baratheon - Tycho is at the moment pretty much a non-entity, and Tommen is a pretty sweet kid.

(1)Daenerys Targaryen - My second favorite character in the series behind Tyrion.
(17)Illyrio Mopatis - Much more interesting than Swann, who to me is a pretty generic knight
(8)Dolorous Edd - I love his bleak sense of humor as a way of dealing with being on the Wall
(9)Sandor Clegane - Love the Hound and the character development that he gets. You actually feel bad for him at times
(5)Tywin Lannister - Yeah I don't know what Karstark ever did and Tywin is a boss and the guy you love to hate
(12)Maester Aemon - Great backstory and you gotta love the wise old man who gives guidance archetype
(29)Donal Noye - Victarion is a bad ass but Donal Noye's act of heroism trumps that
(13)Tommen Baratheon - I don't care that much about Tommen, but I do like that he's the anti-Joffrey. That makes him better than Tycho (who?). Haven't finished Dance With Dragons yet, so maybe he does something more significant, but Tommen probably still wins
