It has a mild and bitter flavor that I find surprisingly palatable.

about a spoonful of coco, and perhaps 1/8 of the total volume in milk.

Ah, added to the tea then. I have seen a variety of things that work the other way. Like, matcha added to a chocolate shake for instance. :3

I've had a number of dessert teas that suggest adding milk and sugar, one of them having chocolate flavor, so i can definitely see the appeal.

the bitterness concerns me. is this a product of brewing the green tea? if so, then you could be brewing it poorly ._.

the bitterness is exclusively from the coco.

I should clarify that this isn't sweet and isn't intended as a dessert.

the cocoa was the other option i was tempted to point out as being bitter, but i wasn't sure how sweet the cocoa you were using was. i've become fond of raw cocoa nibs as there is less processing and sugar than...well...just about anything you get at your average store. even baker's chocolate has a bunch of processing that eliminates a bunch of the benefits of raw nibs...

anywho...didn't mean to assert that it was meant as a dessert either, just that those are the kind of teas i have had that more often recommend milk to supply a creamy texture. 95% of the tea i drink i do so unadulterated >_>;;

still, this is a nice idea :D
