I've gotta be honest here, that whole situation with that character was pretty much the #1 thing I was most invested in in Mass Effect.
Like, it was the primary reason I bought the PS3 version of ME2 to do the comic thing, even though I had the 360 version, so I wouldn't have to replay ME1 to cancel my romances there to make sure I was 100% committed.
And now I kind of feel like Bioware just called me up on the phone and told me to **** off.
And that's pretty upsetting. I kind of don't care about anything that happens in ME3 anymore...
At least I know ahead of time now instead of having it happen out of nowhere and getting really pissed off and rage quitting for weeks :/
Actually, Shepard turns into a pony and the rest of the crew proceeds to follow his lead. They talk about what they've learned and the Reapers, having learned as well, retreat until the next episode.

I've been bringing Garrus everywhere this time around just to see what all he has to say. I'll be bringing Tali everywhere next time. Liara the time after that. I just have them for the dialogue. It's great.

Bioware's priorities not very well laid out.
But there's always bound to be some real specific downers when so much of the game is so good. It just makes them that much more annoying.
I'm enjoying walking around the ship and listening to the banter simply because it's a break from the tedium of mowing down Cerberus grunts. There's just no end to these Cerberus missions. Even the novelty of casting singularity on a shuttle door and detonating 5 of them at once is starting to wear off.

I'm kinda missing not having a squadmate for a romantic interest on this file (Got a Miranda romance for the one I'm playing now). Thankfully, I have Tali and Liara files waiting.
Also the wintery space background in the epilogue is the first stock photo in google image search when you type in wintery space.

But it's just so good that I can't bring myself to be upset.
But, yeah, I think Bioware needs to slow down. A lot of their issues recently have stemmed from them trying to get onto the big annual releases bandwagon between their 2 major studios.
I always switch up my party in Mass Effect. And I take as much consideration as possible who's a good fit for where. For example, I always bring Liara for Noveria.

Probably EA's fault.
I actually had that epilogue image saved to my computer several days before launch. I had around 70 PM requests for it over BSN but after the guy took it down to avoid EA going after him I refused to re-upload it. Not worth the potential legal matters.

I'm so set in bringing two specific squaddies for each character that I even plan it ahead. It helps that my girlfriend does the same thing but picks different combinations. She's using Garrus and Tali on her first run.
For me...
Infiltrator - Tali and literal squaddie Vanguard - Javik and Liara Sentinel - Kaidan and James Adept - Garrus and Ashley
Some of those I think will actually function really well as a team, particularly the Vanguard squad. When I do more Shepards I'll try a few different combinations as well.

Really? She's beastly in my game, especially with her tech damage boosted. Decoy kind of sucks but Incinerate and Overload are too good, and she never ever dies. Her and Tali seem to complement each other pretty well, too.
I actually like Vega, at least compared to most ME human squadmates!
We were having drinks on the Citadel and he was pretty much all "wanna ****?"
WTF no Anders since when do you wanna ****?
I thought that was that generic weapons mod guy's job.
LOL, points for the Anders reference at least. But Kaidan and Ash were going to be bi in the earliest sketches for ME1. They just kinda brought it back belatedly, which obviously causes some... weird issues. Doesn't bother me, but I can see how it would.

My play style consists of trapping enemies with singularity and then blowing them up with throw, both of which have like 2 second cool downs. Incinerate's cute and all, but it doesn't kill 3 people at once every 2 seconds.

My play style is basically snipe with the Black Widow, Incinerate, repeat. Have Tali throw out Drones and Energy Drain shields, or have the other one Overload them. Go for tech bursts when I can.
Throwing out a Drone and a Decoy is pretty entertaining. I can imagine with an Engineer and your own Drone and Turret it'd be even more insane.
Playstyle kinda varies depending on who's tagging along since I switch up constantly, but generally if someone has Overload I spam it like hell and if they have Singularity (er, if they're Liara) I spam it like hell. And if they have Dark Channel and Pull (hint, hint) I spam both because Pull is great in this game but dammit, Dark Channel just sounds like something you do not want to mess with.
Or... watch. Or something.
I'm finding myself sniping much more than in 1 and 2. The battlegrounds really cater to it. I'll snipe at least half the enemy army if it's Cerberus. If it's Reaper faction things are more varied because they like to get all up in my grill more.

I think Bioware's really excited about being the guys who "bring homosexuality into mainstream gaming", so they make it super, crazy easy to do. On accident even. Not pushing the paragon trigger in those convos with Cortez takes every ounce of will I have.
I'm glad I had the option to tell Kaiden to f*** off because I don't want him on my ship.
Once I got Tali it was all her and Garrus for the rest of the game. I liked mixing it up in ME2, but in this game the rest of the squadmates aren't all that great. But Garrus/Tali is my dream team anyway, so I had no problems using them only.
And my playstyle is just "one-shot everything that moves with the Black Widow and let my teammates do whatever the hell they want."

Also LtM, if I had been here earlier I could have put your fears to rest. You'll be happy with how they handled the romance this time around (especially if your as in love with Tali as I am...but no one actually is), it's very well done.

Ahem. On another note, your opinions of the whole gay thing are the same as mine. I feel like they're really laying it on thick. Cortez wants to talk to me? Okay. OH, dead husband? Didn't even realize he was gay, but why wouldn't he be. I rarely talked to James in the beginning because I couldn't shake the feeling that every time he talked he was gonna like lunge in and start butt f***ing Shepard. That's just the vibe I got. And then suddenly I was also getting it from Kaiden.
So it's just like... SLOW DOWN FELLAS.
In fact I'm actually considering keeping Ashley alive from now on just so I don't have to deal with the gay tension from Carth 2.0.
I dunno it's something my friend was telling me about earlier today.
Actually looking it up, I can see that the rumor that a writer or dev said so is everywhere but can't find an actual source (though it's attributed to Stanley Woo). So it's probably fake.

I wasn't able to beat the game last night, I'll beat it tonight after work, and my playstyle is straight up using Turian tactics, overwhelming force. Garrus and Javik unless I'm fighting Geth, in which case it's Garrus and Tali.
I'm playing multiplayer. Trying out different classes. Right now I'm an Engineer and I'm diggin' it. I think I might actually use that class for my first Insanity run.
