The walkmen have a new album coming out and this is them covering a few U2 songs really badly but also somehow in a great fashion. It depends on which segment you pick out haha.
Not only are Radiohead resilient enough to retain the same 5 people for 25 years, they double down on the drummer because they needed more 'head in the 'head and by the ninth album in you HAVE to establish a bald drummer motif, otherwise the act gets stale. Everyone knows that.
New Flashbulb album "Opus at the End of Everything" feels like a mature version of Soundtrack to a Vacant Life...only two listens in though and there's like forty tracks. 2012 definitely looks brighter than 2011 so far
Age has nothing to do with being able to make music! I can see Radiohead going on forever until basically one of them dies and I wouldn't mind either because they haven't made anything post-1994 that I don't appreciate.
To answer your question: Considering that they basically have 7 (8? 9? 10? I haven't been keeping track and they've done a few shows the last few weeks) new songs post The King of Limbs, of whom 5 are unrecorded (only Supercollider/The Butcher have been released on record so far) except for live performances I think they are quite close to new recording sessions. I think they're going to do that after their tour this year, so I expect a new record in 2013. Maybe 2014 who knows, it's Radiohead after all.
edit: From the new songs I especially love this one
Odd Future Tape Vol. 2 leaked. Apparantly EARL is on the last song. (which is 10 mins long) Listening now. The first song is basically a rap off between Hodgy and Domo, really good.
Quick Aside: The Game has started this little website where he would accept 150 videos from rappers and hype them.
My little brothers song made it so if you can throw him some views I would appreciate it since I write for him on occasion and his producer is my California producer.
