Also, a lot of the people on The Voice are invited by producers I believe.

So without an interesting story or a super-amazing voice, you won't make it to the Blind Auditions! Good luck though! If anything, it will just be fun :) Also, are you super ugly? You might make it on if you are!

Hmm, well, my soon-to-be fiancee and I are auditioning, so we can probably do something with that for a story. I'm studying to be a sex therapist and do music on the side--that could be sorta fun for TV. I mean, I could bs easily enough (had cancer when I was little), etc. etc.

Not super ugly though. I'm a pretty good looking guy. Not a dream, by any means, but definitely above average.

Oh. Well. She is my fiancee. We just got the rings, actually. We sort of jumped the gun with proposing, and we wanted to wait a bit before we formally told our friends and family so they weren't so taken back by how fast we did. So, it's soon-to-be formal to our friends, but we already are engaged. We plan to "come out" with it on our birthday (we have the same birthday, July 13th), but we'll probably not be able to hold out that long.

Ah, I missed them.

Of the three I liked Behind Blue Eyes the best. A gritty dark rocker type vibe fits you and the song surprisingly well. I didn't like the Don't want to Miss a Thing though. It seemed a bit theatrical. I don't know if it's your style or just if the song is too big for you, but I wouldn't suggest that one. Pure Imagination I enjoyed, but I have a hard time picturing it in the audition setting. Maybe I need the background music for that one or something.

Cool! Thanks for the input. It's probably how I sang it, I like the musical theater and jazz thing overall, so it probably just didn't match the song very well, or it could have been the key I chose, or I could have just sucked singing it.

Actually, I wanted to record L.O.V.E., I sound so simple and jazz classic on that. I might still do that at some point.

After hearing those I am going to guess that out of the ones I suggested you try

Save Tonight > Fireworks > Iris > Slide > Hate me

And I stand by that if you go big and make it your own on Firework you will knock it out of the park for the audition

So I think your Pure Imagination was your best, it was pretty great. I thought your Behind Blue Eyes was pretty decent too though.


I gotta say, I thought your Don't Wanna Miss a Thing was just.... really bad >_> It never felt like you hit the right moments on that to me at all. The feeling just wasn't there. In particular, the "cause I'd miss you babe" parts felt so disjointed and off, when IMO they are the heart of the song. The "yeah yeah" part had me facepalming, tbh >_>

Of course you're not being mean. There's a lot of off-beat stuff in Don't Wanna Miss a Thing, especially at the "cause I'd miss you babe" sections, so without any accompaniment, it's bound to sound really disjointed. I also facepalmed at the "yeah yeah" part, it was kinda eh. So no worries, lol.

Yeah, Behind Blue Eyes definitely fits me best. The alternative rock with an edge sort of thing kind of fits me, strangely enough. Mad World, Behind Blue Eyes, etc. I guess I'll try more of that type of stuff.

L-O-V-E sounds more like something you would do in the group songs on Idol than doing something for The Voice >_>

It's good. I just think it's a bad song choice for the setting.
