Did you write this? Did you really not get why Drake does what he does?

I agree with most of that, but there are still enough amazing sections - shipyard, trippy chase sequence, desert village, French chateau, that I enjoyed it. It does worry me that most of the gaming press thought it was equal with UC2 though, when it was patently less polished and cohesive (as you say, because they rushed it).

I had problems with nearly every scene in the game; even the great parts had something taking it down.

One of the biggest issues I had was there were too many scenes forcing you to run with little clear indication where to go, often becoming trial and error.

Which scene, specifically? I can only recall two chase scenes in the game, one in which you chase down Talbot, and the other is the rooftop chase scene as young Drake. In the Talbot chase, you are actively following something ahead of you, so I assume this isn't the case of 'little clear indication'. In the Young Drake chase scene, you are given a plethora of subtle clues to indicate where you need to go: camera shifts; oncoming enemies obscuring what you would assume is a safe passage; placing buildings in the background so that they're slightly out of focus, indicating that they are too far out of reach; climbable objects coloured in stark contrast to the surrounding environments. The last one is an Uncharted trademark (in the first game they were glowing objects), so I'd be surprised if you could come up with a scene in which that didn't happen.

It is entirely possible that I'm forgetting a scene (it has been several months), but I doubt what you're talking about is actually true. Your inability to decipher these many clues does not mean they aren't present.

KoolAid? No, of course not - it's properly sourced, not stolen. Icehawk did, though - that's his blog. I like the name.

The desert was my favorite part of the game

The only truly annoying part was in Chapter 2, walking through the town, at a forced slow pace.
