I was thinking about Kamina

its been established that hes actually very uncertain of himself and just puts on a show to build morale from people around him, especially for Simon, right?

does this uncertainty actually make him of the weaker characters in the series?

No, certainly not, he's human. There's nothing wrong with fear, you'd be stupid not to be scared, but he steps up the plate and kicks ass anyway, no way does that make him one of the weaker characters.

On the bottom of what? Agreed he'd probably be on the bottom with Yoko, shablambang.

But yeah, I know one thing about anime (and also comics, games etc) on the net is to rank characters in strength. But... that just doesn't really work smoothly for a show like Gurren Lagann, and I have no idea what criteria would put Kamina on the bottom, but I gotta disagree.

Although it's sad, if you pay attention Kamina only won like one or two fights on his own. He had big spirit and energy, but he wasn't really that powerful.

If nothing else, Kamina's definitely one of the weakest because he dies before everybody gets stronger later in the series. >_>

But, yeah, even without that, I'd guess he wouldn't rank too high.

if you mean weak in terms of overall/maximum Spiral Energy then sure

though in terms of actual mental strength could apply too
