WWF devalues bingos (35 points instead of 50) and makes triples way more important than they should be by putting a triple letter right by it. They're also in the middle of the board, making them easier to hit and closing off the corners. Plus the starting square isn't a double word score, which is lame and gives the advantage to the second player.
In-person scrabble is the way to go, but if there was an online scrabble like WWF i'd switch so quickly.

Yeah, I hate the layout for WWF, it's way more about using the abundant point multipliers than it is actually coming up with clever words. I say this as someone who doesn't cheat (though I do guess-and-check, which is also a feature I don't like about WWF) and routinely beats my friends at WWF. There is a mobile Scrabble app, but I've heard it's pretty poor, as well.
