Normal is a little hard for me to rank. I barely use Pokemon of this type. Zangoose is my overall favorite Normal Pokemon in terms of design. I used a Baton Passer Ambipom in Pearl. Eevee due to nostalgia and being cute. Lillipup is a beast early on in B/W, and I like it better than its evolutions. And for some reason I really like Vigoroth.
I am a sucker for Gen I middle starter evolutions. Yes, I like Charmeleon more than Charizard. Houndoom is a hellhound, nothing more to say. Magmar has been a favorite fire Pokemon of mine since Gen II, and I don't acknowledge Magmortar. Darmanitan has grown on me since I've been using it in my White team, and Camerupt is pretty cool.
Ahh Ghost, perhaps my second favorite type. Froslass is my second favorite Pokemon overall. It's just so elegant-looking. Was my first Pokemon I ever EV trained. Mismagius is in this list also representing Misdreavus. Love the witch hat head, and it also had a pretty cool anime episode! I've always liked Frillish since it was revealed, but never actually used one yet. Ghost jellyfish aww yeah. Origin Forme Giratina makes me think of a ghost centipede, and you don't **** with that. And Chandelure is a demonic chandelier that absorbs people's spirits. Yeah...
Scizor is mostly due to nostalgia. It was my favorite Pokemon back in Gen II. Bisharp is a really cool humanoid knight, and I'm looking forward to training one in White. Lucario's a worthy mascot of Gen IV. It's always been cool in all of its anime appearances. I've always liked Mawile, and I really don't have a reason for it. Bastiodon is a steel mastodon, and HIS FACE IS A SHIELD.
You see a Krookodile running towards you. What do you do? I tell you what I do, I pee my pants. Marowak is the "cool" Ground-type. Mamoswine is an awesome and strong Pokemon, and was part of my Ice team in Pearl. Lavitar is the "cute" Ground-type. Trained one in my first playthrough of SoulSilver, thanks to it being available not too long into the game. And Groudon is a behemoth of a beast. Though frankly, it looks more like a Fire-type than a Ground-type.
Ice is my favorite type. However, I only used the first three in my Ice team. But I also love me some Ice legendaries. Articuno the majestic bird, and Regice the majestic chunk of ice. Kyurem almost made it, too.
Scrafty, the "hoodlum" Pokemon. It looks cool, and it was a pretty strong part of my first White team. Darkrai is a legendary shadow that causes nightmares, and Tobias' Darkrai was damn impressive in the anime. Zoroark, the new "Lucario". It has the ability to fool people with illusions, and I'm a sucker for cool-looking bipedal Pokemon. Honchkrow is the mafia boss Pokemon, even used by Cyrus in D/P/P. It's nicknamed the Summoner of Night, and the Pokedex states that they are merciless by nature. Absol's design is simple, yet at the same time mysterious. Don't really have a real reason for why I like him. I just do.
Dragonair has been my favorite Dragon Pokemon since Gen I. Zekrom, Latias, and Rayquaza are worthy Dragon legendaries. And Druddigon is a cool dude. Dragon / Electric is an awesome typing.
Not too fond of Bug-types, really. However, Leavanny has grown on me and has become one of my top favorite Pokemon. Ninjask was part of my Gen III team, as my Baton Passer. It's also a ninja bug wearing a mask. Escavalier is a freaking bug wearing a knight's armor. That's cool. Yanmega was a very welcome evolution for Yanma. And Jessie's Yanmega was pretty good. And Vespiquen is the ruler of all Combee and Beedrill. It builds entire castles out of honey, according to the anime.
Raichu, the evolved form of the franchise's mascot. My favorite electric Pokemon, I love its tail. >_> Zekrom makes yet another list, it may be my favorite main legendary yet. Magmar's counterpart, Electabuzz, takes third place. I remember anxiously waiting to get to the Power Plant just to catch it. Screw Zapdos. Luxray is a freaking electric lion with x-ray vision. Shame it wasn't part Dark. And Tynamo is the odd choice here. But just look at it. How can you not love this little guy?
