It's supposed to show Dwight's adventures on his beet farm/B&B. I love Dwight and all, but without Jim, I dunno. As the article says, I expect this to go the way of Joey.
I could see maybe one episode's worth of humor in this concept. I wouldn't mind it as just a one-off Dwight solo episode of The Office, but even a miniseries would be too much.

Thank you, Eddie Guerrero. http://bryandanielson.net/wp-content/uploads/2011/12/photo3.jpg
Does anyone but Dwight and his one cousin even live on the farm? I feel like the show would have to sustain itself on fanservice cameos from other Office characters.
The Office is already losing it's appeal with Michael gone, so they think they can take one of the most polarizing characters, take away most of the other supporting cast (I assume), and let him carry the show by himself.
then again there is a reason why NBC is last among the big four right now (hint - it has to do with these kind of show ideas)

Presumably the bed and breakfast would be the source of most of the content.
It could work. Give Dwight an interesting neighbor or something to work off of. Throw in a few guest appearances and you're set for a season.

Thinking Luigi and WAAAA > Pokemon Trainers was dumb, and Pokemon rocks. In other news, Valve is a pretty f***ing terrible company, let's be honest.

To be fair, NBC makes some of the best shows, it's just that nobody watches them for whatever reason. IIRC, Community and P&R were the two lowest rated shows on the network for the first half of the season, and 30 Rock wasn't airing new episodes.

It also has some of the worst - The Cape, The Event, The Playboy Club, Free Agents, Law & Order: Los Angeles, Whitney, Celebrity Apprentice, Jay Leno...

For every Community, there is an Are You There, Chelsea? and Whitney. They milk shows for very long to try and hold onto ratings, rarely try anything new, and the only time they do well is on Thursday and even then they are constantly reshuffling their Thursday night comedy hour with new shows, old shows in new times, etc.
And then they do stuff like putting Community on at 8 and giving the terrible new show Whitney the 9:30, after The Office slot.
then they whine about community not getting good ratings
