Board 8 > So Gamestop (at least mine) is donating old guides to children hospitals

whenever we rotate old guides out, gamestop has us throw them away, which is absurdly dumb, but it means free guides for us cause we usually just keep them instead, just like the marketing. but now we have to box them up for the DM and hes gonna be taking them to Children Hospitals now.

Which is fine, I don't mind that but I don't think kids will know what to do with guides for Disgaea 4 and GOTY Borderlands >_>

didn't you like looking at game magazines when you were a kid? even games you would never play?

I would appreciate that donation if I was stuck in a hospital with nothing to do.

I think maybe donating them to a library would put them to better use, unless those children's hospitals have systems and those games.

Unless they include the games and a way to play them, it's like giving somebody a remote control and they don't even own a TV. Except at least then you might get free batteries.

Hell yeah, I loved reading those things as a kid. Although they often had errors when you actually tried to use 'em.

there were at least 3 D4 guides and 2 Borderland guides, I was thinking about handing them to someone from b8, and maybe give Proc the borderland one cause hes the only person in the world that plays that game

That game was awesome. In both it's weird atmosphere and its strange religious/mythological cameos.

Encounter rate sucked though. Horribly.
