recent builds have removed the ability to cancel out of the basic chains with special moves, only ex moves and supers.

basically they did a test a few months back in korea where people were doing tons of interesting things to make the game look fun, sick cancels out of chains, including some killer hugo tech

capcom looked at that and was, "nope. no fun allowed," and removed that in subsequent builds. info about the specifics of the combo system came out either last week or earlier this week, iirc.

my understanding is that poke -> special still works, but chains can't be interrupted by a special unless it's ex.
