The main page is an improvement, but I never spent any time on the main page anyway, so losing the familiarity factor isn't worth it for me.

I never did either, mainly because the old main page was so terrible.

While it looks a little bit different to me, I don't see the problem. Still works fine, so what does it matter if the layout isn't the exact same?

I think the new main page is just as bad as the old one, just laid out differently. I just go straight to the My Subscriptions page instead, in fact I made that my bookmark now instead of the main page

New main page was worse because it didn't show all the uploaded videos and the chronology as well, but now that they added the show everything setting, it works fine. New video player/page has always been good.

New channel page is really terrible though.
