or I hate figuring them out, whatever

I bought this sweet Dell monitor that has like 0.6ms of lag (so basically as close as you can get to lagless without being a CRT) and is 1080p. Connected my computer to it through the DVI port, everything works great. But the only other connections it has are one VGA port and one DisplayPort.

Displayport is useless, nothing but Apple products use it and any converter you find goes the wrong way. People want to convert from DisplayPort, not to it.

So that leaves the VGA port for my Xbox 360. I bought the 360 VGA cable and connected it up, and it looks horrible. Everything looks mushy and the screen looks like it's in a constant state of ghosting even on menus where nothing is moving. It also has black bars on all four sides of the image even though I told the Xbox to output 1080p. My old monitor had an HDMI input and everything worked great, so I know it's not supposed to look like this.

So I thought "well that's fine, I'll just find the Xbox 360 DVI cable" but it turns out that doesn't exist. Then I thought "well that's fine, I'll just find an HDMI -> DVI converter since they're the same video spec anyway, and run both DVI cables into a DVI selector." But finding an HDMI to DVI + Stereo converter isn't going as easily as I thought, and the only DVI selectors I've found so far are way expensive and do a lot of useless conversion I don't want.

this is the worst. I just want this stuff to work, shouldn't be this difficult! I wish Dell included an HDMI input, that would easily solve this. Why they need a DisplayPort and not an HDMI port, I have no idea. It boggles my mind.
