I fancy myself as a pretty seasoned gamer. But then I realize when I was growing up with the SNES, so were teens and guys in their 20's. They probably have dozens more games on that system than I would have imagined to get; I was a kid, not a millionaire. Until I beat NES Ninja Gaiden and Contra 4, it felt like an achievement to do anything difficult just to look at them and say, "I'm as good as you."

Literally was able to go to Duke University the Summer between my 7th and 8th grade years because I could murder standardized Testing. Something which by the way, that idiot could probably not do now.

Also, I care about NOTHING that went down in that cesspool that was Chicago Illinois when it came to politicians. Barrack Hussein was in the biggest political scandal in our country's history. You think they could not get him a job at UC.

I have no desire to go to law school, though I once did. I used to want to be an architect, but then I came to the conclusion that thanks to idiots like him, it is not worth it to create plans for bridges and such, because worthless humans like him make it take years for anything to actually come to fruition. Hence why I decided years ago, I will go for sports management. I have enough money as it is, I am going to do something I truly enjoy, the one thing left that morons like him are not able to ****up.

Sports.

Finally, and most importantly. You friggin hypocrites always talk about how stupid Bush was, despite the fact he went to Yale, but apparently Barrack Hussein going to Harvard matters....

uh wasn't that just the chance to take the SAT or something? Because I did that as well. I don't think you "were able to go to Duke" as in you were admitted or anything.

yeah i took some college classes between 7th and 9th grade (i skipped 8th.) at Arcadia. Does not make me a genius, anyone who does well on the tests can do that. Its not like you can enter the college officially yet.

You're right, hypocrisy is the right word. But I'd love to hear your educated discourse on how, exactly, my analysis had anything to do with a strawman. Fact is, the comic makes a blatant assertion that anyone who takes the movie seriously is a complete moron, unable to think things through for themselves. Now whether or not that is a correct statement is completely irrelevant to the FACT that the method which the author used to present that assertion is no different that the method used by zealots to assert that anyone who fits into modern society is a morally bankrupt hedonist.

The point wasn't that people are smart or dumb for thinking that Idiocracy could happen. The point is that the author has the same sweeping, broad, derogatory, smarmy, arrogant vibe that religious zealots have when they look down on people who are "worse" than them. The comic made a point about people being intellectually lazy in the same way that zealots are intellectually lazy; I made a point about the comic being intellectually arrogant in the same way that zealots are intellectually arrogant.

So yes...enlighten me on how any of that involves a strawman.
