My friend and I (who I work with everyday) have been playing a lot of Skyrim so we were in Skyrim mode, sharing stories and whatnot, and trying real-life Skyrim stuff, you know, like deflecting attacks, blasting things with magic bolts and all that.
Anyway, after sneaking into one of the offices (my sneak skill did not increase this time), I found a locked filing cabinet. Unacceptable! It had the initials of one of the bosses on it.
Sure, we just had our ethics training the day before, but what kind of SECRETS was he hiding in that cabinet??? Is it not unethical to keep secrets from your colleagues? In the interest of the company, we had to open it.
So my buddy was sitting at the computer in the office (and, by office, I really mean a cubicle-sized room conjoined with a larger 60x30ish room) keeping busy while I went to work on this filing cabinet with my lock pick (aka a couple of paper clips).
I twisted and contorted these paper clips with all my great knowledge of lockpicking that I learned from Oblivion and Skyrim.
Lo and behold! a couple of minutes later, I sat stunned for a few seconds as the lock actually popped open! This only happens on Dexter. What the heck?? Well, okay, so we're in now.
A few years ago, I wrote some lame complaint to one of my bosses so I searched through so I could get rid of it, but, as to be expected (this wasn't his filing cabinet), it wasn't there. Oh well. What else could we find?
Unfortunately, our search proved fruitless. There wasn't much worth reviewing. I found some 7-year-old self-assessments and was surprised to see how averagely he evaluated himself. I guess you have to evaluate yourself not particularly well the first year to gain credibility. Then once your bosses see you are an impartial observer, they will believe you the following years when you rate yourself as excellent.
So, it was a pretty good day. I guess lock paper clipping is actually somewhat viable on some of the crappier-made locks.
BOOSH!!!!
