Actually, when I was living in Hiroshima for a while I didn't find food horribly expensive, but I could also cook and such which made it a lot easier to manage. Yeah, as soon as we started travelling the money started going quickly. Best option is to find small local restaurants and eat at them. Food at the convenience stores is not that bad either. Although for Tokyo, finding any cheap food isn't going to be easy.

And never saw any giant hornet thing or whatever.

i don't even know! i'm just gonna chalk it up to the exchange rate being ass right now and just try to be more careful about my spending.

and there were a few white people around, but they weren't like nerdy otaku baka gaijin white people. just people on vacation with their families and stuff.

The exchange rate is about 20 yen less per dollar than it was when I was there, but I didn't find it especially pricey. But then again, I live in LA, so yeah...

no, but seriously, this place is expensive.

i just got back from yokohama, that place is really awesome. really tiring, though. we walked a bunch, oh man. went from yokohama station through the nissan building towards the giant ferris wheel, past that to the big red brick shopping mall and a little further beyond that. also checked out the pokemon center there. i was pretty disappointed that the cashiers weren't dressed as nurse joy but they had some really cool stuff there.

super tired now. tomorrow we're just gonna rest until about 3pm, so i'll probalby upload and post pictures then.

its like 300 yen or something for a bowl of meat and rice

what more can you want?!

met a couple friends at shibuya last night, hung out there and omotesando. had my sushi in japan, woo. also found a place in shibuya that had 50yen plays for SSF4, that was neat. it cost me half the price to get beat down by a sagat this time.

saw that one street lined with trees all lit up, went into some mall to see a christmas tree of lights. pretty fun day

back from kyoto/osaka. spent most of the time at train stations, but we did manage to go see a temple, the golden shrine, pokemon center osaka, and eat a bunch of takoyaki. yummmm
