Board 8 > Which one do I watch first, Apocalypse Now, Or Hearts of Darkness?

My gut reaction would be to watch Apocalypse Now since.. well, it's the movie and Hearts of Darkness is almost like the special features showing the making of... which may even contain spoilers and such. But I'm wondering if watching Hearts first would give me a greater appreciation for different parts of the film when I do watch it... Although I guess I could just watch it a second time anyways.

But since you only get one first time.. which order would be best?

Redux does tend to drag on.

I found a greater appreciation of the film after I read the book Heart of Darkness, so I could draw the thematic parallels when watching.
