I've begun watching, and caught up on, Community in the past week. "Troy and Abed in the moooorning."

Dear god this first scene is depressing.

That D&D episode might be the best episode of anything I've ever seen, by the by. It was like Game of Thrones ****ed Friends.

I just finished watching the second season tonight and I was thinking about making a post about it.. but I didn't know what to say.

I mean the show is ****ing incredible.. but it's not like it's hilarious or anything. It's just really good. It's probably the only thing that I love, yet I can't explain why I love it so much.

The second half of the season is much better than the first though.

Precisely. It's not a funny show, for the most part. That episode in the first season where he's on a date in the diner and the teenagers threaten him? There wasn't a single thing in that episode that made me laugh - or made me comfortable for that matter - but it was still one of the best episodes of anything I've seen in a very, very long time.

It's really hard to recommend this amazing show to anybody. What would you even say? "This show is really funny about 15% of the time, and the rest of the time it makes you think about uncomfortable things"? That won't sell anybody on it.

Pretty much my thoughts exactly. The episode that you mentioned really blew me away when I saw it for the first time. There are some very real moments in season 2 as well, the episode with Dane Cook is especially good if you're familiar with their history.

It's darkly funny, but it gets a lot of laughs for me, very groovy show.

Loved the first two seasons, especially the intro to the second paintball. However, the third season has been... WTF? They are all so mean....
