Well I love cities. While I technically live in St. Louis, it's such a small city that most of the surrounding area is suburbs. It's boring. I want to live in an actual big city. I've tried the opposite, living in the country. Oh god. The worst. F*** the country. City for life.

If you're going to Craiglist it, get at least five references from them. I've had some great CL experiences personally but I have friends who have had crazy weed-grower snake-owner non-bather dudes move in with them. Just be ****ing careful, and definitely shop around.

I'm not very familiar with Craigslist. I don't know how to be careful.

Please go here if you can. And please scream "CHOCOLATE MILK SHAKE" as loud as you can.

Are you drunk? Because I am. It's the only reason that post makes sense to me.

Yes.

Also please don't go there and ask for a chocolate milkshake. You'd be a horrible person if you did.

I'll ask for a chocolate milkshake whenever the f*** I want.

I want a chocolate milkshake.

Actually I want grilled cheese. If only I had bread.

Illinois. Which is just as bad if not worse. Chicago is literally the only redeeming factor about an otherwise pointless state.

Or I could just move to Chicago like I want. I don't wanna move too far away from here since this is where all of my family is.

My gf said she'd like to move to Chicago too, but not yet. Her life is here, she's got a job that she likes and is about to get promoted in and stuff... bah.

I wish someone from Chicago would just like... call me and tell me that they have two jobs and a spare apartment available >_>

Man I went to chicago once

it was a miserable cesspool, rotting in the putrid filth of its own waste. The smell of death and decay rose from their polluted lake, and the souls of the damned walked the streets.

But man if that's your thing then yeah. cool.

chicago isn't just "chipotles and other chain stores".

a lot of medium-to-big cities are like that, but Chicago and NYC have their own charm. I'd love to live in one of those two cities someday.

I found a roommate on Craigslist and lost of potential suitors. It's not that hard if you plan your time right.

But yeah, job comes first.

Chicago is a horrible, horrible place.

That's coming from the perspective of a guy who doesn't like big cities much. They're nice to visit but I can't see myself living in one. Maybe in a smaller city like Lexington, KY (been there, done that, it sucks) or Boulder, CO (which I hear is wonderful), but Boston? New York? Los Angeles? Any of the major metro areas seems too impersonal to me. Nothing but Chipotles and Pizza Huts and Cracker Barrels.

I don't think I've ever seen a Cracker Barrel in a big city...that's generally an outside of the city restaurant. And weird, I always find small towns to be filled with the usual food chains and cities to have more privately owned restaurants.

Well if Taco Bell is your thing come to Phoenix!

We also have lots of real Mexican food here. Helps to know Spanish if you're trying to get a job BTW

In summer, 110 degree days are normal and frequent. We also very regularly get temperature changes of more than 20 degrees in a single day! (Summer, 90 at night and 110 during the day, Winter, 40 in the morning, 60 during the day). Changes of 30 degrees aren't uncommon either.

AND we don't believe in Daylight Savings Time, so don't forget to... not set your clocks back :D

A few warnings though! Don't walk barefoot outside during summer, and also it's a valley so all the pollution really lingers. And after a couple months you might forget what rain is, just to be cruelly reminded by a storm in July. Oh and if you're not accustomed to large amounts of dust, you might be in for a surprise.

Wow, Phoenix rules >_>
