Progress so far: I grinded on Gato until I had enough G for the Silver Sword, which cost 4000. I felt awesome for doing this.

Didn't eat the lunch but may have screwed up stuff, not sure. It will be a close one for the jury!

Oh hey a flame whirl tech let's try that out - oh my god why is everyone taking 6x their max health in damage, this is the best ability OF ALL TIME. It kills four enemies! This is amazing! I have power! Ultimate power! In other news Crono has learned Wind Slash and Boss has learned Slurp Slash. Boss is even more of a Boss now.

Oh and I didn't mention this before but I am, of course, playing on Active for the ultimate experience!

Don't do the Reptite village quests until you've done *everything* else in the game. They're absolutely awful and there's a good chance you'll get tired of the game, quit before you 100% it and end up having done the Reptite quests but not something else far better (like different endings). Speaking from personal experience here!

The monster training is pretty bad too, I thin, but. it's the type of system where time other than what you've specifically spent on it matters, though, so I guess it'd be best to start earlier than later if you know you're going to 100%...

So anyway didn't have much time to play today but the good news is that Guardia's jail system is about as impressive as Crono's vocabulary. As previously mentioned my silver sword was handy and I did some cool ninja moves and escaped my cell. Lucca came to help as she tends to do and then we fought a dragon made of metal that I devoured.

After a scene where Marle basically told her dad she wants to ride Crono's disco stick we head off into a new time period...!
