Users such as Ngamer are what you might refer to as as an "insider" on board 8. He runs the best Podcast on the board, The Show, which discusses this contest. It is a smash hit and Ngamer is revered for it.

We appreciate the deep history of Video Games more than most places. Flash in the pans such as Phoenix Wright and Portal don't hold much sway here. Don't confuse this with disliking either, but stuff like Sonic and Final Fantasy is a sure hit along with some more established Nintendo franchises.

We all are big fans of the user Ultimaterializer and you should engage him in conversation whenever you can. He's the friendly sort so you should be able to discuss the contest with him pretty easily.

We'd rather new users just discuss their favorites instead of trying to be nerds and using statistics to determine stuff. I mean, this is just for fun after all.

Finally I am the most beloved user in this board's history. Earning my respect is a fast track to popularity on the board. Follow these broad guidelines and you'll be okay.
